Normally when I go to a doctor for allergies later on that day, my face will go down so he didn't know what you were doing so now I gotta go to another hospital. I'm never going back here again. Never even though the staff is nice, the doctor don't know what he were doing.

I was x-ray'd and told everything was fine. Went to get an x-ray (my primary care DR) for a different issue and found I had several broken ribs that were healing but not correctly due to not treating them. Went to ECU urgent care another time for a severe itchy rash, severe headache and joint pain. The first thing the jerk guy treating me (pCS, DR, nurse, not sure) said was "how much meth do you smoke a day". Im not a drug user and told him, and said there's def something else wrong. Some of the spots had rings around them so I did some research before I went, and told him I found 3 tics on me a couple weeks ago, and he told me just to stop smoking meth, exchanged a very condescending look with the nurse in the room with him, and then they both just walked out of the room. A week later I went to the ER in Rocky Mount, (I wasn't going to Roanoke Rapids ER under any circumstances), The DR I saw took me very seriously and tested my blood for LITERALLY everything. A week later I got a call (that specific test took time to curate) and was told I had a tick-borne illness called Erlichia, and they sent in medicine for me. The next day, got another phone call and was told I also tested positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and was given medicine for 10 days, but symptoms never went away. So they ended up giving 4 courses of treatments then when nothing worked, went to see Infectious Disease Dr and she said that because treatment was delayed I would be immune compromised for the rest of my life and be symptomatic indefinitely, possibly forever, there's no way to tell. I still keep getting rashes, terrible headaches and joint pain. I've been fatigued ever since and can't do the things I used to do. I'm the process of sueing the people from ECU urgent care for Medical Neglect because they didn't bother to take me seriously, just made an assumption from the rash, and I was also so humiliated from what he said and how he treated me that I was afraid to go back to the DR until the symptoms were so bad I couldn't take it and went to ER. I don't recommend anyone who wants to be treated like a human being to go there.

So far since I have been in Raleigh, this is the one place I could go to for good service and excellent care.

Lack of Care: I felt that the staff at FastMed did not prioritize my care and were more concerned with casual conversations. High Cost and Inappropriate Prescription: I was charged $50 for a PA visit and received a prescription for a brand-name medication that was not covered by insurance, costing $425. I looked up the prescription and it comes in generic. But the PA was not concerned about updating the medication to the generic. Patient's Condition: I was very sick with a fever and needed medication immediately. Pharmacy Contact: I even provided the PA with the contact information for their pharmacy (Walgreens, 6 Forks Rd., phone number 919-787-1155) and asked them to call directly. PA's Incompetence: The PA failed to read the patient's notes, causing a delay in treatment despite my urgent condition. Medical Experience: I had trouble getting critical medicine and reaching the "PA's" office. Appointment Policy: Most medical facilities have a policy where if someone is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, they have to reschedule 24 hours in advance or pay a fee. The policy should go both ways. Recommended Doctor: I hugely recommend Capital Family Medicine and Dr. Short.
