The one thing that could change is maybe adding an additional entrance and exit for the trucks because it's always kind of nerve-racking getting out and there's a truck coming toward you when you're leaving. This place has become special for me because some unknown kind person paid for my coffee not knowing that today was my birthday. It's the little things that make life worth living and today on my birthday, getting a free cup of coffee made me feel better about my hard road behind me was, and how less difficult the road ahead of me of starting my life over again will be. The cashier Becky was incredibly kind to me, I couldn't believe my coffee was free on my birthday, and she showed me that we all in this life together as one big family. It was the first time in my life that someone that I didn't know paid for my coffee, and I look forward to the day when I will be able to pay this act of kindness forward. Tracy at the desk inside wrote up my work order, helped me decide what would be a great chioce on dinner, then chatted a bit before I went off to the Country Pride Restaurant to wait for my turn in the bays. I usually dont venture near a salad bar in a truck stop. I've found they are tended to as well as they should be. THIS ONE!!!! A+++ for its location!!! Super impressed!!! Tracy called as promised when a bay opened and the tech was ready for my truck. Jake was the tech/mechanic that worked on my truck. What a character this man is! He was a very nice person. I sat in my truck, went in and out of the shop and store. He didn't seem to mind me moving about. I was impressed with his demeanor mostly. He took the time to answer any questions I had, show me what he was doing on the truck..... how much torque needed to be applied, how many quarts went in...tested the oil pressure, cycled this and that. It was another way to get to know more about this new truck. I'll definately drop back over there on my way through again for my next PM. This one was some much less painless than the last!!! Thankyou TA Truck Repair!!!!

At the same time, Missouri passed a law that has been in effect for quite some months now that says if I have my conceal carry permit, they don't have to do a background check. It has been that way at Cabelas, Bass Pro, even at my local mom and pop gun shop. Either they never got the word at rural king, just don't care about the law or they will still run a check if you....... Well, lets just say.... Look a certain way. Every-time I have been there I see at least one employee that looks like me, the first time behind the gun counter; so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and just say for whatever reason, these folks just want the extra work of running a background check. I have been spoiled by the new law so this was a little disappointing and 5 or so minutes of my life I will never get back. At the end of the day, another good deal on a cheap budget gun and I will probably be back at some point or another.
