They need a little more sense of urgency, they also need to acknowledge the patients and let them know what's going on for example once they get text to come into the room, there should either be a nurse waiting already or a nurse to immediately come in and say something like "Hi (xyz) I'm (xyz) I'll be with you in a moment I just have to....."

Before my appointment, I called twice specifically to ask about the cost and was told the out-of-pocket cost would be approximately $150-$200. I also asked again on the day of my appointment and was told my insurance would cover 100% of the service. I was extremely surprised to later receive a $339.68 bill after insurance. I understand that insurance billing can be complicated, but this is exactly why I made the effort to call twice beforehand. Florida Statute §395.301 addresses healthcare price transparency and requires covered facilities to provide timely and accurate financial information and good-faith estimates for scheduled services. Florida Statute §395.301 I have already contacted the billing department, but was told there was nothing they could do. I then contacted the Women's Center directly, and unfortunately, the staff member hung up on me. I found that extremely unprofessional and disappointing. My request is simple: please review my bill and allow me to pay the lower self-pay price I was quoted, rather than the $339.68 patient responsibility. At the very least, I deserve a clear explanation of why I was quoted $150-$200 and ultimately billed significantly more after insurance. As for the actual care, the mammogram and ultrasound staff were professional, but the overall experience could have been much warmer. A little more kindness and reassurance during these procedures would make a big difference. I hope the center takes this feedback seriously and improves both its billing transparency and customer service.
