The whole family gathered for my cousin's 40th birthday and I think my family told us to get there too early. Nothing was quite ready when we got there, but no big deal. The food was good enough. We just sampled some random stuff that my cousin's wife ordered. I really liked the buffalo chicken pizza and the southwest rolls. The ranch is just so-so and their pan pizza reminds me of Pizza Hut. (Also very greasy.) There are 5 golf simulators. I know no prices or rules. I watched my Dad and cousin play for awhile. They looked nice. The place let us bring in our own cake. NOT really family-friendly. FYI People had their kids and my cousins had their kids, but there isn't anything for them to do. At all. I'm pretty sure those kids spent $50 on the claw machine. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is nice. There's a bar and I assume you can use the place like a traditional restaurant. I didn't have a bad experience whatsoever, but I also didn't have a great time. It was nice seeing some outta town family.

I had a beef and rice dish, hummus and quinoa salad that will last me two meals. The hummus so so creamy and smooth with great flavor. The GF meat ball situation was so good! Again, I didn't get enough pita (don't make the same mistake as me!) Dessert was a shortbread type based bar that had dates, walnuts, Craisins, and who knows what else deliciousness. If you're gluten-free, this is a place to stop. The staff was super nice and let me spend time asking questions and looking at the menu. But everything is so clearly labeled, but it made it simple for me to know what to order.

Been coming here for a decade, and there has been no change in flavor or quality. The wonton soup is a MUST. Duck with mushrooms has a lovely browned savory flavor. It's been at least a year since we've tried the food here. I suppose the last time wasn't the worst Chinese food we've had but they were starting to go down hill and became pretty inconsistent with Chinese food to plain old slop. Tonight was the last straw! I won't even go into the details with the obvious day old egg roles and fried wantons. But the rice and main dishes reminded me of something from a prison movie where they slapped wet brown cold running by crap on a Platte. Of coarse we ordered carry out, the worst part is you get it home, hungry and it's disgusting! Don't waist your time, hard earned money on this place. There has to be a decent Chinese restaurant somewhere?! Take care and stay hungry my friends!

Since Gayle would be on her own for the evening (and the next morning), we walked out from our Canopy Hotel, over to Dahlia, and asked to see the menu. Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico, which explained the cuisine. It was a very pleasant and tasty meal, with Gayle enjoying her 3 Taco combination (Bang Bang Shrimp, Ancho Chili Ribeye, and Tequila Shrimp) and me being very pleased with Craig's Taco Salad with Chili Lime Chicken. It was more than enough food, with a couple to-go boxes ready to go at the end. Gayle's Margarita was excellent and my South Dakota IPA (Brookings?) nicely complemented my choice. Our server was Leah, who was excellent in the many ways that one would expect. The interior decor was certainly eclectic, and the large seating areas were largely full by the time we finished. When Gayle and I dine out, a Mexican restaurant is not our first choice, unless we're in Santa Fe. If we lived in Sioux Falls, Dahlia might change our minds.
