This place is HUUUUUUUGE! What a great and well priced selection of items, from home crafters and…read morehobbyists, to farm tables and home decor (both trendy and timeless). There are booths with antiques of course, too. I saw some items that represented a different time, but not in a negative way towards any specific group (referring to the 1 off review by Hannah). In fact, a non-caucasian was working that day! They have historic items for both Columbus and Phenix City. Service was good, and she didn't bother me while I was shopping. She did help me with my items, though, when I needed her. I definitely can't wait to go back, and will be shipping some things home!! I highly recommend this place.

I just found out Bluebelle allows vendors to put blasphemous products in their store, claiming they…read moredon't allow "religious restrictions." It is not a "religious restriction" to not allow vendors to bring in offensive items; it's common decency and respect. (Although I don't believe in witchcraft or whatever other religions can be found in store, that's not what l'm upset about. Everyone has a right to believe whatever they choose. I AM upset about a caricature blaspheming Jesus and another blaspheming the last supper.) I usually go to Bluebelle to find birthday and Christmas gifts and occasionally go to their events, but l will not be back.

Not a professional museum per se, but an incredible collection of items and their presentation is…read morestill fantastic. There are really 4 or 5 parts or separate museums , depending on how you think of it. The antique shop itself houses the connected museums. Admission was a nominal ($10) amount per person and starts with the Lunch Box museum. It's essentially multiple walls of thousands of school lunch boxes, Thermos bottles, and serving trays from the 1930s to the 80s. Next is the Nehi/RC (Royal Crown) Cola museum along with Tom's crackers. This area felt like you were stepping back in time. I would have liked a little more textual information but otherwise it was perfect. Last is the Georgia Radio Museum, which includes both physical radios through the years and what amounts to plaques representing a hall of fame for radio personalities from Georgia. Finally, the owner has a small classic car collection, with some beautiful examples of his personal favorites. There are Fords, Chrysler and Plymouth examples and even a world record setting Tesla and an Airstream trailer for good measure! The owner's granddaughter was there and more than knowledgeable about the collections and I enjoyed talking with her. Definitely worth a visit!

I went to Bloomers in Midtown for the first time today. I can not say enough about their staff…read more They were so amazingly friendly and approachable. I was only there for one plant but, during my short time there, I was approached and helped by three of the staff. They were very knowledgeable and knew the various locations they had placed their white fusion plants so I could compare and pick the best one. They also immediately had an answer on whether they had a planter I wanted (sadly sold out) and when it would come in. I am definitely looking forward to coming back when they have restocked their unique planters. If you love plants and love supporting local businesses, this is the nursery to go! They have a very active facebook page so it's easy to keep up with when they have restocked on items or have gotten their hands on some beautifully unique plants. They even post the prices! I went into their shop knowing exactly what I wanted and how much those items would cost. I personally dislike driving all the way to a new store and getting hit with sticker shock so I appreciate the effort they put into their facebook page. The only thing I can say that I did not enjoy about my experience there was that it was not really set up to make customers feel safe during the pandemic. There were no masks being worn, no hand sanitizer available for guests, and my purchase with a debit/credit card required me to sign a touchscreen that everyone else had touched. It made me uncomfortable both for myself and for the lovely staff whom I would not want to get sick while they provide these plants for all the people who love plants or who have been swept up with pandemic gardening.
