I get pretty upset when I think about my experiences with Dr. Fasano. I'm in my twenties and have visited her on and off since at least high school. My last visit with her was about 2 years ago, and I will never, ever return.
She had gotten nicer the last couple times I went, but she used to be (and sort of still is) SO mean to her assistants. So rude and inappropriate...in front of patients! It was so uncomfortable to be around and made me feel really bad for her employees.
One time they put a temporary crown on one of my molars and I went out of town that night....That tooth became so incredibly painful, I literally had to take Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) that my boyfriend thankfully had leftover from surgery. I was in a sleepy, drug-induced haze for the entire weekend because the pain was that intolerable and I was out of town, so I could not go back to get it fixed immediately. On Monday when I did go back to see what was going on, apparently when they put the temporary crown on, they hadn't cleaned all of the impression putty off of my tooth (for the permanent mold) before adhering the temporary. So, as the numbness wore off later in the day, I had hardened putty sitting atop my nerve being pressed down by the temporary crown.
I've also had a crown break a year or so after it was done, and though crowns are supposed to be under warranty for like 4+ years or something, they would not honor it because I hadn't been in for my 6 month cleaning that year. Probably because I didn't want to go to their miserable office! The last work I had done by her a couple years ago involved several cavity fillings, two of which that were on the sides of teeth. One of those fillings is in between my two big front teeth, and the filling is so jagged that floss gets caught on it every time. The other side filling in on the bottom side, and now food gets caught there all the time.
They're also very "salesy"...the receptionist calls you when it's time for your cleanings and annoyingly and unpleasantly tries to pressure you into making an appointment. I quickly learned to save their number in my phone so I could avoid those calls.
Lastly, they do not tell you if you have a credit on your account. They somehow frequently do this...where they over-charge for something, then not tell you,and just credit the money to your account with them...instead of properly (and ethically!) calling, apologizing, and asking if you'd like the money refunded OR credited to your account.
