My pick from the menu was the avocado salad, constructed on a base of some of the freshest greens including escarole and lamb's lettuce (canonigos in Spanish). The salad greens were perfectly dressed, and the creamy avocado and queso fresco paired nicely with the earthy pine nuts and the crunch of the dried black olive powder sprinkled on top. We also tried the Piadina de Carpaccio, a hot flatbread sandwich stuffed with slices of pastrami, mesclun, melted Parmesan cheese, radish cream, and pumpkin seeds. The slices of beef were juicy and smokey, pairing perfectly with the unctuous melted cheese, the earthy pumpkin seeds, and the refreshing bite of the greens!
