Ireland's most Northerly Pub!
Not a bad acclaim to hold but it can also say it serves a great pint of the black stuff (Guinness btw).
Visited this bar first 2 years ago and loved it from the start. Stools along the bar are full all day with day drinkers and the bar sections is the way I like it with steel tubular stools, jugs hanging off the ceiling and you can buy a loaf of bread or packet of biscuits while your pint is settling.
The bar man was very pleasant and for our first round we got shamrocks in the head of our pints, the second round he spelt the first name of each drinker in their respective pints. The non-locals were very impressed.
Great atmosphere. The pub itself I really like but the have done up the lounge and it has some some sparkle of tradition. Pity.
This pub has been in the family for six generation and if you plan a spot of fishing pop into their tackle shop next door!
A must visit if around Malin or Carndonagh. read more
