We have used his service many times over the years, and most recently we needed his help when a large tree limb came down on our garage during a thunderstorm around dinner time. Many of these trees were close to the house and thus why we wanted to use a reputable firm to do this work. We had no issues. And the bonus was watching these professionals climb and take down 75' trees - quite the entertainment! In addition Birchcrest has been working to rehabilitate our lawn after another lawn care firm killed it. Everyone is very professional and gives balanced advice - it doesn't feel like they are trying to sell you services you don't need. They even have told me things I could easily do myself. When I insisted it was their truck, she came back and said yes it was them but the ruts were caused by the Spectrum truck today. Probably laying the blame on Spectrum so he wouldn't get in trouble. She was so rude - avoid them at all costs.

We hired this company to remove ground cover, extend a landscape bed by 8', and install 4"…read morecobblestone and landscape block on a steep hill in our backyard. Not only was the job not completed, the work that was done was poor workmanship. After the groud cover was removed, the dirt on the hill was not smoothed out, instead of 4" cobblestone pea gravel was installed which started to wash down the hill after a heavy rain, the hill was not extended, and the new landscape block (larger than the previous block) was not installed properly - a trench was not dug and base layer added to stabilize the block - they were simply set on top of the dirt leaving everything very uneven. Top blocks were supposed to have been installed and were never ordered or installed. All in all - a horrible experience and I would definitely NOT recommend them for any hardscaping job.
