Quiet yet friendly atmosphere. Were offered hot tea or water when seated. Two people dining so the staff suggested the menu set for 2 at $90 (NZD)
or about $60 USD. This included 2 types of beef, soup, 9 sides (each refillable 2 times.
Drinks offered included beer, wine, soft drinks, etc.
We quickly received 4 serving dishes with the 9 sides, salad, and lettuce and onion to make wraps. The soup was served at an active boil.
Sides included a potato "cake", bean sprouts, lotus root, kimchi, a sauce for the wraps, greens, and a noodle type identified as being fish based, and a couple others I can't recall. The soup had onions, mussels, shrimp, tofu, and a few other items.
The staff was extremely helpful by first advising how to cook the meat, then by simply taking over the cooking, which I found very nice.
There were several requests to bring us refills on the sides.
All in all, a tasty meal with some pleasant small talk with the staff.
There were booths type tables, table top grills, and a raised area resembling Japanese setting.
Recommended to all. read more
