We visited this shop on Sunday 25th August 2014. One of our party has epilepsy and because of this she has a seizure alert dog, (assistance dog). No sooner had she entered the shop than a male member of staff - presumably the owner - challenged her and asked her to pick her dog up as the only dogs allowed in his shop were guide dogs. She 'politely' explained that her dog only worked effectively if he was walking with her and that he was a seizure alert dog. His reply was a very abrupt "never heard of them". She proceeded to show him the ID card that she is required to carry with her at all times, and to this he again, abruptly and with the attitude of someone that has no sympathy whatsoever to anyone with any type of debilitating illness, said, " well I'll just have to take your word for that then" Naturally we left without even getting the chance to look around.
In summary, George MacKay is a nasty piece of work who appears to have no time for his customers, especially those with any form of disability or even the elderly, if the previous review is anything to go by. My advice is BOYCOTT THIS SHOP, as he does not deserve anyone's custom. If you read this Mr. MacKay I am forwarding a copy of this onto tourist information in Seahouses and the epilepsy society as your actions and negative attitude are in contravention of disabled peoples rights.
