Quick service but WOW the prices are steep. I needed some ibuprofen due to a pinched nerve that I…read morehave.
I Google what "ibuprofen" is called in Italian (ibuprofene) and show the pharmacist. She laughs and says, in English, "Google translate! Do you want 400 mg or 200 mg?" I pick the 400 mg because it's half of what my prescription is for back in the US (I watch too many locked up abroad shows and was afraid to bring it on the plane, lest it be illegal or something in one of the countries I am stopping at during my trip.)
She also asked me if 12 tablets would be enough and I said it was.
Total cost for 12 (400mg) ibuprofen - €9.10 ($10.49)!
In the US 200 (200mg) ibuprofen tablets are €3.49 ($3.99) at Target.
I have no idea if this is a normal price for Italy or if this is price gouging because it's a tourist area, but yikes! Pack meds and worry about potential jail time later if this is the kind of markup on common medication.
