In English since nobody speaks Dutch here: this Napolitanian restaurant is aiming at the international group of clients visiting outlet city Bataviastad.
We have had lunch here 3 or 4 times over the last two years and the picture was pretty much the same every time: food above average, prices reasonable but service scores low each time.
People are not concentrated, a bit careless and after your main course they simply forget you. Today, after having a good meal of bruschetta and pollo (chicken dish) we waited in vain for the waitress to come and collect the plates and ask us if we would want some dessert or coffee. After 20 minutes we started waving and drawing her attention and managed to order coffee. After another 20 minutes we gave up and made our way to the cash register to pay and leave. Just then a waiter came with our coffee ..;-)
The owner apologised twice and offered to give us free take away coffee. We declined.
Too bad and quite unnecessary. The owner should realise that it takes more than good cooking and serving the dishes elegantly. It takes a lot more to have your guests leave your restaurant in a satisfied way. read more
