This was a great little place to grab a bite before heading down to walk the Spit. Surprisingly good selection of food and drink and I thoroughly enjoyed my order of the scallop pie and the organic ginger beer. They have al-fresco dining overlooking the spit, so you get a great view with your meal. I had the little side salad that came w/my pie and it was fantastically verdant and tasty. The gal that took my order at the counter was also very nice and explained the menu to me when I had questions. All in all, a definite rec to make a stop before or after your visit to the Spit! read more

This little cafe, that also acts as a minituare visitors center for Farewell Spit, has a very nice view over Farewell Spit, thats even alright in heavy rain. The coffee is very nice, though the whole place smells heavily of fried fish, which does a lot to lower the charm of this place. read more
