Even if you've been professionally fitted before, this will still be better--I was previously a loyal customer of Soma because they were the closest store that carried large cup sizes in a small band size, but found out today that I am in fact two band sizes smaller than I thought. I received individual attention and left feeling taken care of and comfortable that my purchase was worth every dollar I spent. Every time I pointed out that an otherwise perfect fit rubbed in one place or dug in at another, I was handed another option to try on and the problem was solved. My fitter made up a customer profile for me, with notes on what size I was in each brand and style, and even set up a wishlist in my account of the items that I couldn't afford today but will definitely be coming back for. I also appreciated that I was not upsold in any way--I received a full hour of individual attention (YMMV on busier days) and was not pressured to buy anything more than the one bra I left with, except for a gentle suggestion to buy a bottle of budget-friendly lingerie soap to extend the life of my bra. This last time I went in, I walked in, saw 2 women standing and talking. They continued to chit chat the entire time I was there. Not once during my time there searching for bras, and trying on numerous bras, was I greeted, or offered help. I wasn't certain those two women were employees, but they confirmed they were when they rang me up. The time before that, I went in and asked for a bra fitting. The employee asked what size I was at my last fitting. Her immediate reply was "yea, you look like a x size." I asked her again if I could get a bra fitting, where she continued to say "well, if you really want me to measure you, I will". I was indeed NOT that size, as I knew I had recently lost 30 pounds and was no longer my previous size. In General: The quality and value of these bras have gone down the drain. Recently I had 2 bras completely fall apart. The first bra it was within a year. The second one was within 3 months. We walked out right to her manager who was with another customer but instead of welcoming me or speaking to me, she ignored me and told the new girl just to bring me some bras to try on. I am about a 36 and because she does not know how to measure -she said I was a 43. I'm not going to waste my time trying on wrong sized bras. If anything, my bras are too loose. I was looking for professional service and measuring. The manager could have offered a time for me to come back because she had to know this new employee didn't have a clue on what she was doing. I decided to leave but if the manager had given me a time to return or offered any kind of help, I would go back. Instead she screamed out as I was leaving the store "Our sale ends tomorrow!"
