I agree with Eliana's review and I believe the company has deleted a previous review I have left. The lady at the front desk tries to up charge you. Be strict on your appointment. I have gone in several times and paid 50 plus tip for a blowdry on medium hair. Everytime the same lady tries to upcharge it to 70. The most recent time I went I said I want a simple blowdry, the woman drying my hair said I can do curls do you want curls? I said doesn't matter. After I finished she told the front desk lady in a different language "no charge her more I did a a lot for this blowdry". I also speak the same language and spoke back saying it was only what you recommended and that was the only reason we did this kind of blowdry. They are liars, beware. read more

You have to be really assertive if you choose to go here because they will just start blow drying your hair without asking you and attempt to add on 70 bucks for this. I'm sure many places can do a blowdry on short curly hair cheaper then 70 anyways so there's no way I'd ever pay for this and I stopped the lady when she started blow drying without consent. The haircut cost $50 for layers on short curly hair even though it's supposed to be fifty for long hair and the funny thing is that she didn't even know how to work with curly hair since she was yanking my hair through the brush and then the clip got tangled in my hair. The haircut itself turned out good but I'm not really sure if it was worth 50 seems a bit like a rip off. read more

My favorite place to get a haircut. I always ask for Svetlana. She is an incredible hairdresser and you are getting too good of a deal at fantastic Sam's. I always get a wolf cut and my layers touched up and I won't go anywhere else now. Trust the people here with your hair. Great salon. Very clean as well. read more

I was rather surprised that I was charged $15 more than my 1st color/cut session! No forewarning of their advertised cost list. I didn't question at that time just paid with unessary tip for that fee and left. Perhaps l just didn't see the new increase list. I even have less hair so was a roots only for more $. Ironically, I went to Sam's to save money, but I paid the same amount as I would have at Dry Bar. However, with Dry Bar, I would have received a correct wash, excellent blow out and fabulous product in my hair. The "stylist" shampooed my HAIR only, not my scalp. She used no conditioner and charged me the maximum amount of $60. Since the range is $40-$60, I feel the stylist had an obligation to tell me how much I would be charged up front. While blow drying my hair, she pulled and tugged and I was in pain - all because they are too cheap to use conditioner. Lesson learned. If you have long hair, just go to Dry Bar. You'll be happier and get much better service and product. read more

Ange is terrible, do not have her as someone to trust with your hair. The one day Svetlana was not there, and I had to get a quick haircut, Ange ruined my hair. When I came home to check the back of my head, there was parts that were cut and bleeding in addition to her, not knowing the difference between scissors and a razor when I told her to use scissors instead of razors, and she did the opposite. Made an appointment for my 8 year old daughter. She had long straight hair and I asked to cut about 3 inches off the bottom with some layers so that it wasn't blunt at the ends. These are the worst "layers" I've ever seen. I have to take her to get another haircut because it's just a choppy mess. Not only is the cut terrible but they charged me for an adult haircut. When I asked about it, they said it was "because her hair is long." The whole thing took maybe 15 minutes and was not some elaborate style. I tipped when we left too and wish I hadn't because I didn't realize how bad of a job it was until we got home. read more

Sad to say this was the worst service I've ever received. I should have suspected something when the first thing Svetlana said was she had a long and stressful morning. I was also quite surprised by the overall experience because the quality of her last haircut was good...maybe it was a fluke. Anyway, after I asked for her to blend the sides to the top and she didn't and I mentioned that to her, she got upset and started rushing through. At the end, I noticed that the back was uneven (see photo) and asked her to fix it and she said no, told me I was just complaining the whole time, and that she couldn't work with me. Stunned, I asked the other stylist if she would fix the back and she refused saying that if Svetlana wouldn't that she also wouldn't. Solidarity I guess?! I left here with the back of my hair looking like this photo. Had to go to a nearby salon to fix it. I definitely won't be going back here again. I now see a similar review of Svetlana not long ago. If the business replies to this review, I'd like to hear how they plan to prevent this kind of service in the future. Please don't just say "contact us to make it right." read more
