SMART STYLE WALMART@ 16503 Nacodoches Rd.San Antonio,TX 78247…read more I'm 74 went in to get WHITE HIGHLIGHTS to my all BROWN HAIR. I showed LIZ, THE MANAGER a photo of what I wanted. I let her know I.didnt want any yellow, red, or ash tones. She assured me I could trust her. I also told her in the past I had used ION ICY WHITE Toner and it turned out beautiful. She said she had their brand of ICY WHITE so I said GREAT. She quoted me $180 my hair was shoulder length but not very thick. She left the bleach on about 35-40 min said she didn't want to leave it on longer because my hair was thin she didn't want to damage it. So she washed out bleach, used a toner however the highlights did turn out yellow. In the florescent lights there and because I have cataracts on my eyes it seemed OK till I got home. My son said mom why is your hair yellow what happened to the brown. Since Liz said not to wash for 7 days using BIOLAGE LAST COLOR( PURCHASED THERE) I thought we'll maybe after washing the color will improve! No it had ash tones, yellow reddish so I let her know I wasnt happy. I couldn't go in too soon had to let my overbleached rest at least 2 weeks. I used the purple she sold me but had to wait another week soooo I booked a REDO. She said she didn't leave the toner on long enough. Obviously she didn't use ICY WHITE because it wouldn't have been yellow. Before the appt she said she had an ICY WHITE she was going to use but when I arrived she said NO, I decided to just bleach it a little more as it's already a pale yellow. She used a TON of foils and I kept asking her is there going to be ANY BROWN?? She assured me dont worry there will be,trust me.Everything I am telling you I have proof in text messages from her personal cell phone so there's no disputing this! After 30 more min of bleaching she made a comment to me that the reason she washed out the bleach too soon the first time is because I SAID IT WAS ITCHING MY SCALP!! Isaid no thats not true, she kept saying yes you did. She wasnt as friendly or talkative as on the first visit so I just figured shes not happy to be doing a REDO with no pay and now shes deflecting the blame on me instead of taking responsibility herself. In the meantime I had set the timer on my phone every 10 min for the bleaching as she was in the back going through boxes of supplies. There was another stylist there named DELIA/ DELIAH? She checked the foils once & Liz checked once. Then they both started complaining to each other about the OWNER, how the OWNER said the profits at the Salon was $15,000 a month and they or maybe just Liz was only getting pd $4-$5,000 A MONTH. Liz was saying she was tired of being told to push the shampoos and other products as she doesn't make commissions off the sales. Im thinking wow how unprofessional to disrespect your boss AND in front of a customer. I was the only client there. So fast forward ,bleach was wasjed out with just water, no toner ,blow dried and yes there was WHITE & YELLOW and not ANY BROWN ,NO CONTRAST of any kind. I was so upset that I was speechless. Liz in a SNARKEY TONE said well you wanted WHITE ,you got WHITE. She then told me I owed another $120. I said you're kidding? You messed up the first time and now the second time too and you're charging me? She said she had to but would contact the owner about a refund. I was forced to pay and I was too upset to say or think to say ok get the owner on the phone now. Also as the Manager Liz had the authority to not charge. When I didnt hear back I asked Liz for the name of the Owner and contact. Brenda, the OWNER texted me after I let her know the situation and her response was I had 7 days to let Liz know I was unhappy in order to not be charged again I told her Liz knew I wouldn't have come back if it was done correctly. Brenda then said I obviously was genuinely just an unhappy person in general and that it and I shouldn't have questioned Liz's training. Then she told me if I contacted them again she would file Harrassment charges. She has blocked me including blocking me on the Salon Phone as well. So next step is REGIS CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS/ BBB and maybe I should ask for punitive damages meaning the $1,000 I invested for 2 yr to get healthy hair ,I now need to find a solution to repair my damaged hair. So hope the lack of empathy about my hair the $120 would have been their better option. Only a very greedy, immature person would let this ESCALATE this far.
