We loved that he advised us on all areas of our event - helped connect us with a bar service, create a menu, and offered great ideas and presentation that not only met our needs but made the meal really special. We had searched for a while to find a caterer, and really scored by finding Brian! He's not only an experienced chef, but because he's local to the North Conway area, he could prepare food in his own commercial kitchen and bring it to our venue. This eliminated the need to bring in a portable kitchen, and dramatically decreased the catering cost compared to other caterers we talked with. He offered so many extras other caterers don't - plates, flatware, sign boards, etc. - all of which would otherwise need to be rented, that it really reduced the cost and simplified the whole process. I can't recommend Brian enough. He's a professional, talented chef, a great resource for planning an event, and a nice guy!

The property and house are beautiful, clean and well maintained. Every morning we were able to start our day off right with a great breakfast. You can get a gluten free option if you like. Matt and Lynn were so nice during our stay. Lynn had so many great recommendations of places to eat and things to do. Even when I asked where can I see a moose! We enjoyed all of our time at the inn. There's ample room to sit outside with a drink, a book and relax in nature. We are looking forward to our next visit and exploring more of what Maine has to offer!

My uncle who was in a wheelchair was told to his son in law to park downtown because there was no handicap parking was a disgrace! The owners Leila and Anthony are truly the kindest and most hospitable people I have ever met. From the second we walked into the Inn it truly felt like we were right at home. The Inn itself is beautiful, quaint, charming and very clean. Our room was super cozy and the bed was SO comfortable (I will definitely miss it). The water pressure in the shower was great, which is hard to come by sometimes. The grounds are manicured and so comfortable. I spent hours on the hammock and in the rocking chairs reading and relaxing. What really blew me away was the breakfast and the treats. Anthony preps all the food and is a breakfast and pastries GENIUS. First night we were there they had snickerdoodle whoopee pies with a maple cream cheese filling (individually wrapped to be extra safe and clean) and I may or may not have taken a couple more with me to enjoy later in the evening... The location of the Inn is PERFECT. You are walking distance to Long Lake and a few little shops and minutes away from Lake Sebago. Then I emailed him as the day got closer to give an update on the number of people we expected and to clarify a few things. We couldn't afford his appetizer option, so I mentioned that we would make our own apps. Also that we didn't want to use his cheap plastic plates and paper napkins since we wanted the event to feel more formal. We had already discussed that I would be renting china, linens, etc and he had no problem with it. Then out of the blue, he wrote back saying that he "tried but could no longer work with me" on this. He couldn't accept outside food and couldn't do our function for the same price now that it was "formal." Now, I hadn't actually spoken to him in weeks, so saying that he tried to work with me was bogus. We certainly could have worked out the appetizer situation (I can understand where he's coming from), but we hadn't changed anything on the menu and somehow he now couldn't work within our budget because we were "changing" it to formal (based on our renting china and linens). He sent my deposit back without even calling me to discuss, with less than two months until the wedding, leaving us scrambling to find someone who was available on short notice. Personally, I think he found a better paying job and decided to take it, despite having accepted and cashed my deposit check more than two months prior. Highly unprofessional and certainly unethical. What also bothered me was that I would email him a list of questions and he would always call to answer them, so I would then have to pull up my email, copy it to a word doc, then jot down notes regarding all of his answers. He didn't like email. However when it came time to drop us, he chickened out and sent an email. Not even the courtesy of a call to try to work it out, or even just to explain himself. Stay away...

If you go you must stay for the weekend, or at least until Friday if you're staying during the week. Their lobster bake by the water is so enjoyable; it's a true Maine experience. In fact, it's more than that. It's a Tarry A While experience. You can't get that kind of community with delicious food anywhere else in Maine. She just bought the business this spring and she is doing a great job running the place. My fave part of the inn was this great porch overlooking the yard. It was so peaceful and we sat out there for several hours. Sadly it rained the whole time we were there but we stayed nice and dry on the porch and relaxed listening to the rain on the roof. The breakfast was so good. We had so many things to eat and everything was delish. Mariah also directed us to a local running trail that was very close by - which was perfect for us (even tho it was raining). Lastly - we met so many awesome people that were also staying there from all over the world. Had great conversations at night and also the next morning at breakfast. Def hit this B&B up if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.

The breakfast had everything you could possibly want including quiche's meats, French toast, fruits, yogurt, parfait and juices. It worked out real well for us!
