Wonderful antique shop. They have such a great variety and they keep pretty decent hours, as well. I love to go to look for dishware that I collect. This antique store has anything and everything you could possibly be looking for all in one place. I've been to this store numerous times and have absolutely loved it until today. I arrived around 3:30, knowing they close at 5:00. However, by 4:35, the employees were practically shoving customers out the door. Each employee told us a different amount of time left before closing despite still having plenty of time to spare before 5:00. At 4:40, the lights in the second building were being shut off, and by 4:50, the open sign was off. This may be a controversial opinion, but I feel that if your sign says you're open until 5:00, you should be fully operational until that time. I was extremely disappointed with the staff today, and it was a very odd and uncomfortable experience. read more

I've been going to Fantastic Finds for years, and it has never disappointed me! When you walk in, it's like you're stepping into a whole different dimension. I feel like I time travel back to the early to mid 1900s every time I walk through the door. They have everything here, because they have a ton of different vendors and "shops" (aka rooms/booths/stalls.) It's a very nostalgic place to be, and very homey. It's not your typical antique store, it's something a lot better, and you must give it a visit if you're an antique fanatic like I am! Prepare to spend a few hours browsing everything, because there's several buildings that connect to the main one. It's a giant store! If you see something you like, you can simply take it up to the counter, or if it's too big, take the tag. I promise you'll be in awe at the sight of this store! read more

What a treasure trove this place is. You know in The Little Mermaid how Ariel has her grotto full of weird and awesome goodies? This place is like that. Whozits and whatsits galore. And then some. But imagine that the grotto is staffed by some sweet old ladies. This is five buildings of goodies. Individual stalls display goods by different vendors, so you'll find lots of different styles and types of stuff in here. Prices are generally fantastically low, though some vendors are a little pricy. For example, I saw one booth full of fabulous, one-of-a-kind Restoration Hardware-type stuff, but it was all way out of my budget so I'll have to come back another day. Some vendors offer free delivery within a small radius, so if you're local and lack a truck you may be in luck. If not, bring your truck or SUV because I guarantee you'll find a few things here that you love. Minus one star because a few of the booths have genuine crap (imitation designer sunglasses? Come on.), and I had trouble with the layout because I'm directionally challenged and this place is a maze. But those are minor things that won't keep me away, just worth mentioning. This is one of my most favorite places I have a few that I love to wonder through but this is my fave...... clean and organized comfortable with a wonderful sweet staff!! I have had to decorate a home and found so many things I love here for my home from decoration to wall hangings and furniture!!! I absolutely love this place. My mother lives in Maiden, NC. Every time that I come for a visit we make a trip to Fantastic Finds. I love Norman Rockwell and have found a lot of good and inexpensive items here. I always compare other stores to this place because I feel that you can get the best deals here. Like a lot of antique stores or "malls" if you will, there are different booths. I will agree with a previous reviewer that questioned some of the booths and that they seemed to give out a flea market vibe. Minus these few questionable booths, this place has great items, great deals, and provides hours of shopping. If you are looking for something to do in Newton, NC and enjoy antiques, then this is the place for you. read more

Lots of jewelry in the first building (the reason for 3 stars instead of 2...there are 5 buildings...but everything else was much more reminiscent of a flea market not an antique store. There was also a new unpleasant smell to experience in each building. There was a cute cafe in one of the buildings but after the smells I could not have been tempted to eat for anything. read more
