For 14€ I was served a salad of iceberg lettuce with four very deeply fried samosa looking triangles that were more grease than they were meat and cheese. I was hungry less than an hour later. HOWEVER, the hammam itself is gorgeous. It's very clean, the staff are very polite, and I got my scrub and detox on like a boss. It is NOT cheap, but they give you towels and robes and clothes to lay on and honestly, this is Boulogne so I expected classy. I even got my own membership card despite not living in Paris and likely not returning anytime soon. Although it was a waste of plastic, it did make me feel elite and special, so there's that. If you're on a budget, buy your black soap and scrub mitten on your way over, and then bring a friend who you feel comfortable scrubbing your back for you to avoid the price of paying a professional to do it. An excellent way to pass the day when it's dark, cold, and raining out, and a fantastic place to sweat out toxins and clean up your skin as seasons change. Pro-tip: if you want to splurge on a professional scrub, mask or massage, you need to reserve in advance. Walk-ins are, however, accepted if you just want to use the facilities.
