I spoke to Tim/Owner, and he denied everything, of course. Rather than take responsibility for their horrific work, and harm to my dog, he was super nasty to me. Their complete lack of maturity and customer service was very shocking to me, and it cost over $200 in Vet Bills + the cost of grooming. Any negative remarks concerning her are because the people making those remarks had something negative about them - you can bet on it. She is highly empathic and she can sense things in people concerning how they will treat others and animals. She loves every animal given in her care at the Humane Society and wants only the best for them. So, if someone is turned down for an adoption, it is because she senses they would not treat the animal well or they would not be able to meet that particular animal's needs. My little Maltese had seizures and was dying one New Year's weekend. He was suffering. My vet was closed and I am elderly, could not drive to Dundee to the vet there. Judy compassionately helped my little love to the other side while I held him and loved him. She also did that for a 20 year old cat I had taken to love and care for the last few months of her life. She is gentle, caring and the animals know they are safe with her. Judy honors their trust and if you are not accepted to adopt a pet or treated in a way you feel unacceptable, it is because the fault lies with you. She brought that Humane Society from a dirty old building with the animals neglected by the caretaker at the time into what it is now - with new buildings, a building for the vet they didn't have and several different rooms and buildings for the rescued animals. Judy doesn't deserve the criticism she receives - it's a huge responsibility. Judy Beshara Spiegel deserves a medal of honor. Marjorie O'Meara
