If I could give zero stars, I would. This was genuinely one of the most upsetting salon experiences I've ever had. I walked in with clear instructions, reference photos, and a very simple request. Instead, the stylist completely ignored everything I said and went ahead with a haircut I explicitly said I did not want. She even showed me a picture, I told her I DIDN'T like it, and she went and cut my hair like that anyway. She gave me a V-cut I never asked for, cut extremely short front pieces without my permission, and even cut my hair while forcing a side part I don't wear -- which left my hair uneven and nothing like what I showed her. To make things even worse, she used a flat iron on my hair at such a high heat that there was visible steam coming off my strands. I'm trying to recover my natural hair, and this felt careless and disrespectful. I left the salon distraught, confused, and honestly on the verge of tears. I had to drive to another salon immediately just to fix the shape and even out the damage. And yes -- I still had to pay the full $35 for a cut that felt like someone was experimenting on me rather than listening to me. I've never felt so unheard or dismissed in a salon in my life. If you care about your hair, your comfort, or basic communication, I would not recommend this place. read more

I've been seeing Kevin at Fancy Salon for over a decade and he has always done a great job with my hair. I have always left it up to him to surprise with a new look of his choice and he has never disappointed me. My daughter and I got our haircuts today and once again, Kevin worked his magic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made a HUGE mistake going to this salon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I just wanted to get my hair fixed because my friend did not cut it evenly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a inspo picture that I showed the lady (pretty sure her name is Rose) and asked her if she can do this cut.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the length, I just needed layers/to have it fixed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told her my friend had messed up my hair.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anyways, she CHOPPED my hair VERY short. I should have said something. I'm 1000% regretful. I don't know why any hair stylist would just CHOP someone's hair without even asking questions? It looked nothing like the picture! [[HIGHLIGHT]]When she was done, I paid and stormed out of there. Went home and cried.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She gave me her haircut essentially. You can find her picture here. That is what my hair looks like. She gave me an Asian Auntie haircut. Don absolutely wrecked my teen daughter's beautiful hair. He was to bring up her highlights but instead added a ton more and they were almost white and he didn't even color melt it to blend the highlights! He was Defensive when we asked him to fix it. The other worker Rose told him to add dark lowlights to fix what he did.. walked out looking ok but after a week the dark color he added turned brassy ugly. My daughter's hair is fried and now and we are going to have to pay for an expensive treatment to fix it. Don't let Don touch your hair. read more

I took my son last Monday to get haircut for his first day as a highschool student, I trusted the staff because I always get good service every time I visit them,but my 15 year old was very disappointed after the haircut. I won't be coming back here, two strikes and you're out, the first time, my hair was cut uneven and I had to drive all the way back from north county to have it fixed. Second time it was uneven again and Kevin denied it and got pissy when I asked him to fix and just wanted to rush me out of there. The color wasn't close to what I requested, and lighter than the color I got the last time since he doesn't write anything down. He seems like a skilled stylist but he overbooks and gets sloppy and is disorganized, scattered, and doesn't take pride in his work and comes off as a nice guy, as long as you don't point out his careless mistakes and are ok settling for shoddy work. read more

went for a full hair color. Kevin assigned me to one of the older hairdresser. I told the lady I want a hair yet she insist to just color the top and I want to brown color. Kevin interrupted to tell her to follow what I want. still didn't get the color I want and she did not perform the traditional hair coloring. she only made a touch up on my hair. I was very dissatisfied. I asked how much it cost and she asked Kevin again for the pricing. for above shoulder length- I was charged $105.00 plus tip of $5. This salon is absolutely horrific. I made an appointment for eyebrows, full set and bikini wax. They assigned me to Hansen who has probably never done nails or eyebrows in his life. It's only been 2 days and one nail already fell off and the second one is almost falling off too. I was there for 2.5 hours just for a set and wax. He had to re-do the nails several times because he had no idea what he was doing. I seriously doubt he has a license. Maybe something that should be looked in to. They should be ashamed of themselves taking people's money for doing a half ass job. I highly recommend going somewhere else. read more
