He takes time to listen and isn't judgmental or dismissive. He's very understanding and isn't quick to prescribe drugs. He accepts alternative treatments and will research rather than quickly try to get you on a drug. He makes sure that IF I need a medication it won't interact with what I already take. I really like that. I trust him completely with my health. I honestly feel like he cares about me and my health. I also like that he takes the time to explain everything so I won't have anxiety or stress over an issue. His staff are very sweet and attentive. They are polite and very caring. She typically works off of appointments only but once in a blue moon she may be able to fit you in without an appointment. Mai does quality work. She speaks English. Doesn't upsell anything. Has plenty of nail polishes to choose from. The second time I walked in I smiled & waved at all the hair stylists as I made my way back to see Mai. As I sat down i began telling her about needing a haircut & i asked her if she would recommend anyone. She pointed to a stylist, Linsey. Linsey & I made arrangements to get my hair cut after my pedicure appointment. Again, my pedicure experience was great! I am definitely happy to see Mai every time. Pedicures are $25 with a $5 tip. My appointment with Linsey was easy, she is the type of stylist that knows exactly what you need. She washed my hair, cut it, & blow dried it. My husband was on baby duty so I told her my hair didn't need to be styled. Linsey was finished within 45 minutes. My hair cut was $40 with a $10 tip. I definitely would see Linsey when I see Mai, it's so convenient to get your hair & nail done right after the other. I have had plain blonde. My hair is the healthiest it has been in 10 years of foiling. She is careful never to double process. I have never before been able to communicate and receive the color I wanted in my life of being all versions of blonde. I bring a picture in and she is able to reproduce it with my hair. Also, she is able to get the yellow out and make a true ash blonde color. Never has anyone else been able to do this. The salon is nice, low-key, everyone is nice, and prices are very reasonable. I will never go anywhere else. Update as of December 2017: April has moved and opened a new salon: Oxidize at 45th and Georgia.
