I think that if you have lived here you would think this is the best and the worst place in America. I personally love it. It can be many things, and boring is definitely not one of them. Today I moved a bot south of Baltimore, but I can tell you, every time I am coming back here, something inside is moving. The best and the worst city in America ;))

Essentially, there are a block of houses (on both sides) that are decked out in holiday decorations and lights. It's fun to walk along the block as these owners go all out. I love that Yelp was at the Shindig! Super cool!…read more What was cooler was the open nature of this venue. There were 2 musical stages and just lawn. That made it a free for all to go as you please, sit or stand where you please and hang out in a nice relaxed atmosphere with some serious rockin. There were plenty of booths for food from turkey legs to fried potatoes to pie to pad thai. Decent choices, reasonable prices. Lots of beverages including a Jaegermeister tent and non-alcoholic drinks, too. Plenty of folks to check out and to check you out. Punk rockers. Preppies. Papas and mamas with their children. Grandmothers. Soccer moms. Young adults. Middle aged folks. College students. Umm... they were all here. Lots of piercings, hair dye, make-up, jewelry and ink. Really though, the venue was great because of the freedom. You could easily, if so inclined, push your way to the front, linger on the side or hang in the crowd in the middle. There were only the lights from the stages and food/ beverage/ merch tents after the sun went down. It made it even more awesome. Parking was a pain, as was leaving, as they shuffle you to a cash only lot. If you're brave, look for street parking. Smoking still allowed at this venue... so there were... different types of smoke, if you're concerned. VIP tickets got you up to a special viewing area to look down from afar. If you really like the music, just get regular tix and muscle into the crowd! Loved it! Please come back Rise Against!! We heart you!!!!!!

Most food vendors had the same exact menu just at different prices. Also one year I bought a VIP pass for myself and it went completely to waste since the "air conditioned" bathrooms consistently had a long line, and the "special eating" area was always full of people, and had a gigantic line. I would've missed half of the venue just waiting in the "VIP" lines.

People joke that it is where Canton neighborhooders move when they have a kid. The neighborhood is affordable, more space, older homes that need fixing, and yards...real yards. It also has a walkability score in the 60s which ain't bad because there is a the Harford Road corridor of businesses. Kind of a funky mix of places...an art gallery and Hamilton Bakery near a street front church or podiatrist...a blend of old and new hip businesses like Hamilton Tavern across from old old local bar Brannan's Pub. There is the yuppy farmers market-like Green Onion store which makes its own sausages (best I have ever had...seriously) nearby a CVS and old pizza store. They also have a massive Hamilton Street Festival each year and a farmers market on Tuesday in Lauraville down the street. This neighborhood has legs....it is diverse...changing...old...new...funky...urban...but with a lot of people digging in to improve it and get people here. We are loving it.

If my son followed me in a car and then broke down right behind me, I'd gladly Towson to wherever…read morehe needed to go. Because my furry little son is an angel. But he doesn't actually drive. This is a very fancy city which is a burb to be honest, north of Baltimore, and the frustrating and ironic thing is that to see parts of Baltimore (especially the West), you would think that America was a third world country, and then less than 10 miles away you have a lavish upper-class suburban paradise, not to mention its overdone town center and all of its expensive shopping, and all you can say is that capitalism is ugly. If you like generic homogeneous suburban paradise, then Towson is gorgeous. It's definitely a safer place than a lot of the areas of Baltimore, but its heart isn't here. As I've said before... It's a far cry from inner-city Baltimore in so many ways and has more in common with a DC suburb, but having said that it's still pretty monotonous around here and I could see why others would denigrate it the way they have done.

I already bought a pair of the old school Nike Court Royale 2 that she is rocking on her IG page although many of you said I would not be able to find them because they are out of production and that I.G. Pic is 2 years old but apparently y'all are not aware of my superior inventory resourcing skills. She is definitely my new top gifting influencer. Now on a lighter note cuz this been bugging the shit outta me, even though it was a few weeks ago that Verzuz with Ron Isley had all of my fav front line cuties talking bout how sexy he is, WTF? Ron Isley is exactly 80 years old and he had to sit down even before the song was over with, now of course I'm talking shit cuz I'm extremely jealous since those same cuties never call me sexy unless they see a bag or box in my front seat, and besides they weren't even born when Ron Isley had his last hit record. lol, And I want to defend Steve Harvey, Y'all keep saying he wouldn't STFU, well that is what cats of my Era do, of which he is one, we kick it, we chop it up, we bring up shit that happened 25 or 30 years ago. So to me his constant chatter wasn't a problem, and shows even though he's a billionaire he can still kick it with us as though he was in the barber shop on Saturday morning. So that's my 2 cents on that, OK so here is the review, I got the shoes from a little joint on Washington Blvd, owned and operated by "The Folk" they don't have a Yelp page, hell, they don't even have a sign, just a banner that says Grand Opening. Great customer service and very knowledgeable about all things Athletic Footwear, tell them I sent you, however, DO NOT park in that Dollar General parking lot, that brother in that black tow truck with tinted windows makes his living from ppl parking there and walking off and he will swoop in and tow your Ass be you Black, White, or Foreign. Anyway, thanks for reading and I hope this helps.

It's a really great way to show off the eclectic cuisine that Wheaton has to offer. There is also the summer band sessions which I have not personally attended. Then there is the Friday night outdoor movies which I did attend this past Friday. Not a high turn out, which was a plus for us. What I can't understand is why families would bring their one to ten year olds to watch The Hunger Games. Perhaps the biggest turn out here is for their Fourth of July Fireworks. They are pretty grand, and parking in the garage off Reedie (behind the new Safeway) is easy. There are traffic cops during The Taste and the fireworks to prevent any casualties.
