Two Men and a Truck London

Two Men and a Truck London

I was really disappointed with Two Men and a Truck. We used them for a move at the end of June…read more They were slow, disorganized and didn't even move all the contents of my house. I hired "professionals" and yet this was both the most expensive and worst moving experience of my life. I choose Two Men and a Truck because I wanted to use a local company. The quote was reasonable but it was not at all reflective of the amount of time it took the crew to conduct the actual move. We had possession of our new house early so we moved roughly 20 - 25% of the contents of our home prior to our actual move date (mostly boxes). Plus we only had ONE appliance that was required to move with us (Freezer). In spite of that the movers did a terrible job of getting things out in a timely fashion. Rooms were left partially cleared, not emptied, meaning we couldn't clean/vacuum through the day. At the new house only heavy items were taken to the proper rooms. Everything else was put in the garage just to try to speed up the process. That meant several days of digging through the garage to find important items. So in the end, what should have been a 5 hour job turned into a 7 hour job and the cost was at least 35% more than quoted. Add to that we had to go back for 4 additional loads of stuff including the backyard furniture, bins, etc. And to cap it off, the movers left equipment at both our old house and new house. They left moving blankets, straps and shrink wrap between the two locations. I picked up the blankets and brought them to the new house. As for the straps - they didn't even come to pick them up. For context we used a different moving company a year ago and just TWO employees moved all our contents in 5.5 hours. Boxes were taken to the proper locations and they used mats/blankets to protect our floors. That move went exceptionally well and was reasonably priced ($900). Two Men and a Truck sent 3 movers but took two hours longer and did a poor/incomplete job. Plus, we had damage to some of our furniture. I did raise these concerns with the Manager. To his credit he called back and talked to me, but he was very dismissive of all my concerns. As noted, I had a frame of reference for how the move SHOULD have gone since we did it less than a year before. The difference in quality and professionalism was significant but there was no apology offered for what was a terrible experience. I would not recommend this company. There are plenty of other movers on the market. Try one of them.

You cannot replace the things that were broken/damaged by this company, when they discount their "services" by reducing $50.00 off the bill and lying about how it got broken. Tv stands do NOT EXPLODE on their own. Again, in my opinion, this is not the company you want to use if you value your belongings. #avoidatallcosts
