There were so many things I was afraid of when I started to look for a daycare, like cleanliness, my son not being taken care of well enough, daycare staff being over worked and overwhelmed. You hear a lot of horror stories that scare any parents but man does CJCC really exceed all my expectations. They send presious pictures and updates when asked and I truly appreciate the pics and updates . Ms. Pinar has been so amazing to my sweet boy! She truly loves and cares so much for him & works so well with trying to get him fed. (He was exclusively breastfed most his life) if you know, you know! She has been compassionate, kind, understanding and willing to assist to meet his preferences and needs. When I first toured I was SO impressed with their attention to cleanliness & infection control. From the moment I stepped in the door Ms. Pinar & Mr. Avni welcomed me with such warm energy, happy and inviting. They made me put on booties over my shoes and wash my hands. Which was a first! My son was 5 months when he started but I was so happy and impressed to see all the learning tools and hear about how they help the children with real life skills. I was so impressed I came back a second time with my son's father. We are so excited and happy to be apart of the cookie jar child care family!!

In this time my son has grown immensely, not only physically, but mentally, and emotionally as well. Mrs. Maria cooks home made food that my son is obsessed with. Mr. Avni teaches him manners, to play soccer and even piano. My son speaks with incredible pronunciation and has a very wide vocabulary for a 2 year old and I have no doubt it's from the education this daycare provides while my husband and I work. I absolutely love that they have no screen time and have a very structured day to help children learn to thrive in routine. I highly recommend cookie jar child care in Rocklin.

One of the most horrible experiences I have ever had! Still cannot believe the way we were treated…read more I reached out to Silvia and her daughter about getting my son into a new daycare after he had a very bad situation with another provider. She had amazing reviews and it seemed like she offered everything we were looking for: family oriented business, Spanish speaking, small class size, affordability and close to home. We set up a tour over the phone with her daughter who was extremely responsive and accommodating at first. On the day of the tour, my husband, son and I all went to Silvia's home and had what we thought was a great visit. We got to know her a little better, she seemed to like my son and our family and we left thinking it was a match. I guess we we're wrong! The next day I followed up with Silvia's daughter (I was never given a number for Silvia directly) and asked about next steps for enrollment. No response. After a another day passed, I texted. Nothing. A few more days went by and I continued to call, left a voicemail, sent a text. Still nothing. Eventually when I called Silvia's daughter she began to answer and hang up on me! We were in shock at how unprofessionally we were treated, and could not think of a reason why they would be hiding from us! My husband tried to call and Silvia's daughter answered, once my husband said my sons name she hung up on him too! Clearly Silvia must've saw something in my son (who was around 18 months) that made her think he was unsuitable for her daycare. Why they couldn't follow up with us and simply explain why they did not want us to enroll is beyond me! Our son is an average toddler, silly, sweet, not outrageously misbehaved or anything like that. He didn't jump on her furniture or break anything, nothing about our tour with Silvia would have justified their treatment and in my opinion discrimination of my son or our family. Needless to say, we never received an apology. Literally still blown away by their behavior as I write this months later. They need a lesson on simple common courtesy and professionalism before they consider teaching little ones.

When we first started looking for a daycare, I wanted a play-based non-chain environment. DLC was super close to our house, and I loved the philosophies I read on their website. DLC has been more than I hoped. We were there before pandemic, during pandemic, after pandemic. All the time they had a warm and professional staff, helping all of us navigate zoom-school. The teachers are wonderful and caring. The outdoor play area is huge. The school-age kids in the summer do a ton of field trips. They are very communicative. I feel well-informed. They are constantly evolving and improving. But most of all, my son loves it. He is sad he doesn't go there anymore. I think he would love to be a kid at DLC forever. I would think twice about this place…read more I had my two year old son on the list here and was told I had a spot in their two year old classroom. My son has autism though, and so they said I needed an aide or they would not allow him to attend. So I went through hell to get the aide set up. It took weeks and hours and hours on the phone and filling out paperwork. And then I went to tour the two year old class with my son. I told them I wanted him to be with kiddos his own age to have the opportunities to learn the skills other two year olds were learning. And everything was fine, but when I was leaving after the tour they said they had decided it was a good idea to start my son in the younger classroom, which they said was 18-36 months. Even though he had a spot in the two year old class? But then when I asked for the pricing schedule for that class, it was listed as 12-24 months. My son is two and a half. So I called back and said why are you trying to put my two year old son in a class that's not for his age when you told me there is a spot in the two year old class? And they insisted there were two year olds in the class. But when I pushed to find out exactly how many, I found out they were actually moving all of the two year olds up to the two year old class right when my son would start, so he would not have any kids the same age in that class. And they had given my spot in the two year old class away to one of those kids. So now I no longer had the spot that existed for him anymore. As if life wasn't hard enough being a parent of an autistic child. It's hard as hell. And then you have to deal with people trying to deny your kid the same opportunities as other kids. My son is a sweet, gentle little two year old boy, no behavioral issues, loves being around other kids, and he was going to have an aide for the time he was there at their insistence. And he needs the opportunity to learn the same skills other kids learn in daycare. If you have an autistic child or know anyone who has an autistic child, think carefully about which businesses you want to support and which you don't.
