They took my dental insurance information and informations me they would reach out if there were any issues with the insurance. I was told there shouldn't be any issues since my son was seen there before for an emergency visit. I received a return phone call only to be informed that my children could never be seen at the facility if they missed the first appointment. There was no communication that my insurance was out of network. They did a complete examination and cleaning for both my children and informed my husband the cost was $500. The clerk went on to give a backhand apology stating that she was sorry that I wasn't aware the office was out of network. This makes no sense. My children did not have any dental work done just routine cleaning there is no way my husband and I anticipated to pay $500 for a cleaning. This is poor communication on this dental office and I was made to feel this error my fault. I was very disappointed with this experience and would not recommend Just for Kids Dental to any parents.

I will say that the place is always nice and organized and the staff are always so friendly. But there are some issues. I feel like I've never seen the dentist also be the one to do the cleaning until coming here. I found that off but whatever. The first 2 times I've had my "cleaning" it NEVER felt like it was clean. He usually never talks to me and feels more intimidating. Today I went and I'm sooo glad that they finally had a hygienist in there. She was super lovely. I really wish I had met her before because she did an amazing job and she made me feel like my mouth was clean. She did say she was new there but honestly that's probably the best decision the dentist could have done. Dr. Schooner performed my post-cleaning exam and was relaxed, quick, and friendly. I also didn't wait very long past my appointment time. The appointment lasted about 1hr 15min or so, which actually isn't bad at all, considering I hadn't had a cleaning in 4 years, and that it was my first time at his practice so X-rays also had to be done. Overall I appreciate how they made an unpleasantness that is a dental appointment as painless as possible. I will definitely be using them for my primary dental care moving forward.
