This review is in reference to the dollar general located at 707 main st west...my mother and i…read moreactually visited the store twice... a day or so ago the first time i made a purchase of about 33 dollars...later on that day i returned with my mom and made another purchase of about 85.00 ...as we left there were about 3 or 4 valdese police units outside ..i was approached and they said there had been a shoplifting complaint by dollar general..i told the officers it was not true i asked to see there proof and cctv footage but that never happened either ...i begin recording on my phone to post the video on youtube which i did my mom is 72 so shes really upset and i kept asking the officers to please review the footage cause i knew it would show the truth that we were not shoplifting ..i have long hair tattoos and often wear a bandana so at this point i honestly feel like im being singled out as a stereotype situation . i kinda felt like a couple of employees were following me in the store but i just tried to dismiss it...well of course no proof was found that i had shoplifted so then the other officer informs me my mom and i are both banned from the store when i asked why he said because they can refuse service to whomever they see fit to....im very glad i recorded this and posted it on youtube please watch the video the account name is concerned citizen...i have also filed a complaint with the director of dollar general and am currently awaiting the pending result from that...i had taken my mom to buy her some things she wanted and needed for mothers day and it was an absolute disaster....i will never shop at that store ever again....its a shame one store gives the entire chain a bad image.

The staff are always friendly and check in with each customer upon entry as well as any with that I know what I'm looking for but not quite ready to admit I can't find it look in their eyes. Drive Thru Pharmacy, a newer model Redbox outside, great savings, great toy selection for kids, exclusive Marvel toys for all the lovers of geek culture, annd an actual Selection of Fragrances you would find in department stores. This Walgreens is the Gold Standard of what all 21st century franchise pharmacies should hope to achieve but a modicum of.

Sadly, that 5 star review is now a ONE star solely because of the horrendous attitudes of the employees. I go in here to pick up online auction purchases from BUGGY BUSTERS, and am typically greeted by a few older ladies behind the counter who are insanely nice. There is one teenage boy working the counter who could basically RUN the place- He is the only one who helps anyone and everyone and should be the manager. Unfortunately, I believe they're all ran by an evil purple haired woman who lacks respect, morals, and overall human decency- Essentially, a (purple haired) woman who should not be in a position of power whatsoever. Why do I say this? She ruined this entire experience for both me and my husband. We went in to return an electronic item (electronic items have a 7 day refund policy on the auction site.) This was a keyboard that did not work. We normally do not have issues at all returning items, but the woman, took a picture of my invoice and refused to return a $3 keyboard for god knows what reason... A $3 keyboard she could've simply tossed back in the bins and made a profit off of on $5 days since we are running a corrupt business here. No, she decided to take a photo of my invoice, decline the return and spout diarrhea out of her mouth. I am angry because I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars bidding online, and to be treated this way REGARDLESS is so totally unprofessional! Who hired this woman? Lastly, as we took our thousand dollar order and left, she was the only employee who did not even have the decency to say "Thank you have a nice day." She looked at us with a weird and cocky look whilst leaning against a shelf eating chocolate ice cream taking up the space in which should've been occupied by a much more warm welcoming and friendly face. What a waste of time. Not to mention, the items we bid on here claim to work and most are broken anyways. We are not bidding from here anymore. Only sticking with Hickory. P.S. The warehouse workers were paid on peace count and they didn't have time to give correct actual descriptions or photos of the items listed or they would not have any thing to sell in their auctions. Deceptive Advertising! As far as the bin store it is a dumpster diving free for all.
