I have been back and forth on deciding whether or not to post this but the more I think about it the more it angers me. Saturday on our way to the community center for their Trunk or Treat we saw the church had something going on so I asked them if they were passing out candy. A group of gentlemen told me yes. So after we finished up on our way home we stopped by the church. We pulled up and Reagan got out of the side by side and saw a couple cars that had few decorations and she ran up and said trick or treat. It was 6:56 the one lady said we aren't starting yet but gave Reagan a piece of candy. She said that the kids were still eating pizza and they were not starting until 7. I told Reagan to come on let's go because of the way the people were acting. They acted as though we weren't welcome. On the way back to the side by side Reagan saw a old lady by her car holding a big bowl of candy and she got excited and ran up to her and said trick or treat. The mean old lady looked at Reagan and said no we aren't starting yet. Then immediately turned around and handed two other girls some candy. Because by that time the kids started coming out of the church. Reagan started to cry because she didn't understand why that mean old lady wouldn't give her any candy when she gave the other kids some. I have never been so angry in what is supposed to be the house of God in all my life. If we weren't welcome they should of said something. But don't be mean to a 6 yr old child. That's supposed to be the house of God. Well I guess he was absent that night. They should be ashamed of themselves. To think I was going to send Reagan there for Sunday School once she gets vaccinated. ‍ I'm glad I got to see the real them, not just the fake side. Because I didn't want the wonderful night we had to end in such a horrible way we went up to the Family Dollar in Stollings to let her pick something out. The manager and employees all Kno us and they were so good to Reagan. The manager bought Reagan a ton of candy and sweets to put in her pumpkin.. let's just say that you couldn't fit anything else in her pumpkin.. lol They put the biggest smile on Reagan's face. They don't know how much that meant to me because their generosity helped her move on from what had just happened.
