With careful shopping you can find a lot of products made in the USA. If you have a pet as I do, depending on the store they have a lot of dog treats, rawhide chews and pig ears that are USA made. Also I work on cars and trucks alot and my hands get really greasy. They have a product called LA'S Totally Awsome Oxygen Orange spray cleaner in a 32oz bonus bottle that really takes grease off of your hands or any surface and can be used as a multi-purpose cleaner. Its made in the USA and its just a buck and thats a great deal. I buy about 6 bottles at a time and keep them in my garage, kitchen ect. The stores always seem a bit disorganized and a bit older, but are kept clean and the cashiers are always friendly. If you just need to run in an pick up a few toiletries, kitchen supplies, cleaners or snacks and don't want to fight the crowds at the Wally World drop by Dollar Tree and you'll leave with your nerves intact!!

We've already bought the wine a couple of weeks ago at Total Wine in Huntersville but now in pursuit of some nice Christmas Wine Bags. These are normally readily available this time of year in Dollar Stores. There is one not too far from here but since we were going over to Lincolnton for Lunch at Italiano's , my wife pointed out that we were going to be going past a Dollar General and we could stop there. Neither of us had ever been to this particular store. We stopped in and it appears that Christmas Wine Gift Bags are not out yet but expected in after Halloween. They did have some other nice Christmas Shopping Bags however, so we picked up a couple of those. Store is very nice and well organized, and the store staff is very helpful. Since we are in Lincolnton a couple of times a year, we will definitely be back as it gets closer to Christmas.

A few months ago they ran a 30% off sale and we wanted a large rectangular table for our deck and of course they didn't have one here and we had to drive to the other side of Gastonia to that Big Lots to get it. Same thing two years ago when they ran a sale on furniture and there was a recliner I wanted and of course they did not have one here and we had to drive to the Newton location to get it. This is the closest Big Lots to my house but I have learned that at this store with any major sale they will not have any of the items advertised and its just waste of time and gas to drive to this store.

Poor service! They have some big guy behind the counter that doesn't wanna go outside to exchange…read morepropane tanks I guess! Waited in lone to pay to exchange gets to me and says they are out of propane. I go outside and look and the thing is totally full and has the blue plastic cap on them which means they are full. Go back inside and tell the guy and he says to me that people bring them back that way....are you fing kidding me you idiot...so I go next door to exchange my tank and by this time I'm really pissed so I go back and confront him as to why he told me they were out...I finally get him to come outside and show him that they are full then he starts playing the victim and acting scared and tells me I need to calm down...I don't like being lied to especially when I 100% know I'm right! After a few walk outs, some guy said in a loud voice "You better get someone on a register 'cause your losing customers", but it was obvious the only employee could have cared less as no one ever show up to check us out, so we just left our stuff on the counter and walked out. With this kind of shitty customer service, Corporate still has no clue as to why profit margins are down and why stores have to be closed. If this total lack of customer service continues at this store there will be no need for vendors to come in and stock the store because the won't have any customers to sell any thing to. LAST TIME EVER STOPPING IN THIS DOLLAR GENERAL!!
