The initial issue, a simple cut, escalated into a persistent and painful problem. Despite repeated visits and my clear articulation of my dog's continued limping and discomfort, my concerns were consistently dismissed. On multiple occasions, I explicitly requested an x-ray and a comprehensive work-up because I knew something was seriously wrong. My requests were ignored, and I was told that a physical examination was sufficient. This blatant disregard for my knowledge of my own dog and my direct request for diagnostic testing has had severe consequences. After months of my dog enduring unnecessary pain and suffering due to your failure to properly diagnose her condition, I sought a second opinion. Within minutes of the examination at another veterinary hospital, a significant tear in my dog's CCL/ACL was identified. This is an injury that should have and could have been diagnosed during any of the times I brought my dog in and expressed my concerns. Their failure to perform even a basic work up when requested, despite my repeated insistence that something was wrong, constitutes a clear dereliction of your professional responsibility. As a direct result of their negligence and misdiagnosis, my dog has suffered needlessly for months. The condition has worsened, and I am now facing a complex and extremely expensive surgery, estimated at approximately $9000, to repair an injury that could have been addressed much sooner and potentially with less invasive methods had it been diagnosed promptly. My anger stems not only from the financial burden but, more importantly, from the fact that my dog endured prolonged pain because my concerns were not taken seriously. I have lived with Jolene since she was a puppy; I know her behavior and I knew something was fundamentally wrong. To have my instincts and direct requests for diagnostic testing disregarded is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete lack of respect for both the animal's well-being and the owner's informed perspective. I have lost all faith in the care provided by Ridgeville Animal Hospital. Their failure to properly diagnose a significant injury despite repeated opportunities and specific requests for diagnostic testing is, in my opinion, a clear case of negligence. If legal action for neglect or malpractice were a viable option, I would pursue it without hesitation. This situation is unacceptable.

They were able to take a new patient fairly quickly, and while Kora recognized the "vet office smell" she was pretty chill during the appointment. They don't take the animal out of the room or out of your sight at all, the vet took his time getting to know her, and he talked to me quite a while. They're pretty easy about prescriptions, and everyone was super friendly. I will say, it can be hard to actually get someone on the phone - they don't seem to have enough staff in reception to answer the phones, and the call back time has been ~3 days each time I've tried. As long as you don't need something urgently, it's not too bad.

Dr Kim prescribed insulin , vetoril and an appetite stimulant . We never used the appetite stimulate which was 50 bucks . I called and smoke to the you g woman who speaks so softly one cannot discern what she is saying .. she also can't book a simple appr w/ out putting one on hold ... I'm not sure what that is about, but really, neither here nor there . I called after the 1st shot of insulin, which worked like magic and told this young woman I would be bringing the appetite stimulant back as we had never used it, and all was accounted for . She said fine .. bring it in . My husband went to get BetteJoan's nails cut this morning , buy insulin, and return appetite stimulant . All good until he went to pay, and the return of the stimulant was refused . I generally take care of BetteJoan, so I asked to speak with this woman ( not the usual timid young woman aforementioned . This woman was rude and argumentative from the get . 2 times I poliely asked her to let me speak . Both times, she loudly spoke over me, The third time I attempted to tell the woman if she would not take the medicine back to just keep it and do what they wished with it . I , at this point, lost my cool and asked her to shut up so I could speak . She hung up on me, and my husband called me back to say we had been fired . I left where ai was and drove to Shaker Square ( we live near by on Shaker Blvd ) Dr Kim was standing at the front desk, and we greeted each other and I stated I was disappointed he had not listened to my side . A couple things I truly believe : the customer is not always right ... there are 3 sides to every story . I am still dissipated and told Dr Kim I believe his front office staff are a true representation of his practice . This true ; I drive my neighbor and her dog to him . He told us Sadie is in end stage liver disease and told me she would be gone in a month or less .. Sadie is still as mean and full of beans ad ever .. Doing fine . When the Dr was recently on vacation, a rather mean , uncaring type of woman was filling in for Dr Kim . Our Bette Joan was once again ill as before . I instinctively knew she needed to be upped from 3 units of insulin to 4 , but would not do it until she was seen This uncaring , unkempt poor excuse of nothing refused to see our dog . She I sister she was too busy and to take her 15 miles away to an emergency vet where a deposit of thousands us required to walk in the door . I insisted at the least BetteJoan's sugar level be taken. It was crazy high. I ssked if I should give her 4 units and was told emphatically NO . Ser how she is . I took her home , injected 4 units and voila .. our girl wad herself . When I asked Dr Kim if I had done the right thing, he said " absolutely yes " . At this point , after thinking of the day's bull---- I am relived we have been fired . Dr Kim's diagnostic skills are not top rate . He tends to laugh and shrug his shoulders a great deal . I have found that it is difficult for vets to be able to do this at the same time, so I am willing to drive the extra miles to go to a good vet. This animal hospital is on richmond road, conveniently located near a few highways, so it is very accessible. The parking lot is decently sized, which is also a plus. The building is cozy, and make sure to call before going in to determine whether or not it is car-side service, but as for now it is not. The waiting room was fine, and social distancing is possible. The people at the desk are knowledge, quick and painless. I got taken to a room almost immediately and my cat, Lola, was seen almost immediately by the technician who was very nice and professional. Shortly after the doctor came in and was also professional and caring. She did end up taking Lola to the back room for some shots, but most everything was done in front of me, including Lola's temperature being taken, and an oral medication being given. The doctor was very helpful in scheduling a good time for a booster shot and urinalysis. The check out procedure was also very painless and quick. Overall, this is a great animal hospital to go to. They are organized, professional, helpful and quick. The best part about this vet is that there are 3 office cats, just chilling and interacting with the staff and clients.

This last month it took them 2 tries at the same test at $275 a pop to diagnose my dog with a UTI from an E-coli infection. Something about that didn't sit right so I started looking into them and learned Private equity firm Shore Capital took over in 2021. I see a connection. Private equity ownership doesn't make businesses better for the customer. Never has, never will. The one star rating really isn't as fair reflection of my service there. It's closer to 3, but I think a one star review reflects what should be the fair expectation of private equity owned businesses. I'm sure the "owner" will reply to this like they have to other recent one star reviews. I don't think that's a real dude. There's no vet there with that name. That's some AI bot with a picture of a handsome fellow and a dog and just shows how disingenuous the whole affair has become.
