This location is way bigger than their old location. They have tons of comics including some pretty pricey ones. They also have figurines/toys, games (eg Warhammer), posters, manga, etc. Game day is every Sunday. And they've got a decent loyalty rewards program and friendly/knowledgeable staff. read more

This is a neat little comic and game shop located near World Market. It has a great selection of old school to modern comics. I find myself in this store on a regular basis. I love to look for new comics I have not read and to share ones I love with my family. Graphic novels and comics are very underrated when it comes to helping kids find a live of reading. The high interest topics and vocabulary are great ways to improve your kids reading skills. I will always be back to purchase more reading material and purchase games for family night. read more

Tucked away in a complex that includes large chain stores and restaurants is a locally owned business called Fallout Comics. I walked in for the comics and left with a board game. In addition to their extensive comic books and collectable figures, there is a section that is dedicated to board games. They have a great selection of the Europe style games, tile based games, card based games, role playing games, and even used games. The customer service I recieved was top notch. The owner is passionate about comics and games and has a wealth of knowledge. If you unsure the owner gives excellent recommendations. Noticed the store on Yelp/Google maps. The photos show stacks of longboxes, which gives the impression that this store has hundreds of boxes to flip through. I live in Jacksonville, and decided to check them out in mid-July 2020. So I drove 2.5 hours to Tallahassee just to visit Fallout Comics. To my dismay, after looking at the comic wall for about 10 minutes, and then subsequently beginning a search through his longboxes, I was approached by the owner and told that I have exceeded my 10 minutes in the store. He says, due to Covid, customers are limited to 10 minutes. I asked if I could purchase something and return after lunch, to which he responded: "it doesn't work that way." He wanted me out of the store. He pointed vaguely towards the door, in feebly asserted, "Didnt you read the sign?" Of course there was no time limit sign. just another example of poor business practices. I inquired with other stores in the area, and none of them ever heard of a store time limit. By the way, the stacks and stacks of comics on display in web photos is a sham: only the top layer of comics are for customers. The lower boxes are his personal stash/back issues. It is quite a shame that I drove 5 hours that day (roundtrip) just to view 10 boxes. If I could leave zero stars I would as what we have here is a comic dealer that does not deal and does not appreciate the notion of a new customer ready and willing to hand him hundreds of dollars in cash, potentially thousands in future deals. I understand the masks, I wear one every time I go into a store; no questions about it. This was no different, I go into the store and start to search comics and look around. I had a runny nose from the weather change and pulled my mask down about an inch to wipe it, and I was asked to leave. I get the feeling he was looking for a reason to ask me to leave, he was eyeing me funny after I asked a question he didn't have an answer for. read more

What you think of when you watch the simpsons. If you dont know the staff, you feel like an intruder. Back issues covered with storage. Opens late many days. Very snarky staff when I have asked for help. There is more unsorted outdated product than new. Trade paper backs not stocked well. Owner's wife very nice...new kid with beard not so much. read more

Not child safe. My child is disabled and often touches products because he enjoys the textures. When he touched a toy for sale, he owner rushed over and accused him of trying to steal it. I insisted that he was disabled and was only wanting to touch the toy and at no point was anything concealed. The owner humiliated and shamed my son for touching his Toys for sale. He then threw us out of the store because he stated my son carried a weapon into the store. I asked what weapon my child, who is under ten, was carrying. He stated a crushed soda can. This is a clear ADA violation that is being reported. Not child safe. read more

Showcasing a wide range of new comics for all ages, largest collection of affordable and collectible back issues in town, most affordable comic supplies, huge selection of graphic novels, collectible figures, comic related merchandise, magazines, large role-playing selection, miniatures, miniature supplies, Warhammer, dice, and one of the best new & used board game selections I've ever come across. This store is well spaced so you can actually get around (those that have been to some of the tight stores where you are stepping over other customers to look will understand how refreshing this is). They do have a subscription pull system with free bags & boards, and a unique discount stamp card that allows purchases from all areas of his store to contribute to the purchases to earn an overall discount. With new extended hours of operation, check them out to find out how it works. The owner Mark and his wife are the real treasure of this store. Mark is extremely knowledgeable in comic storylines, history and current news of the industry, grading, roleplaying, artists & writers, and a broad range of related topics...a true hobbyist at heart with a joy and love of the business to share with his customers and friends.
