Kohl's cash isn't what you think it is…read more I just got back from returning a PS4 and extra controller at Kohl's here in Burlington. I bought the console and then, the next day with the $80 Kohl's cash I got for the console's purchase, bought another controller and charging cradle. I didn't like the PS4 over the PS3 and it didn't meet my needs so I returned it. What I didn't understand (and its right there clear as mud on the receipt which refers you to the Kohl's cash coupon for the details) is that if you use the Kohl's cash and then return everything they only credit the purchase price minus the Kohl's cash. So I paid $427 for the console and got $80 in Kohl's cash. They credited my credit card back for $347 and then gave me another $80 in Kohl's cash. So now, I'm paying $80 in interest on a purchase I returned. I feel that is unethical and they wouldn't fix it so I cut up my credit card right there. I'll pay off the balance of my card and then I'm through with this overpriced company whose business model is to milk as much money out of its customers as possible.

Every time we are in Iowa (1-2 times a year) we stop in mainly for 3 things: 1) cheddar cheese, 2) Elk or Bison sausage and 3) to check out and get pictures of the Elk and Bison roaming in their pins near the building. Probably some new additions to our "things we get from Quarry Creek Elk & Bison Company list" would be Little Buffalo Horns (chocolate covered cashews) and Elk Drops (chocolate covered caramels) which can be found right next to the registers. We see the same people each time we come. They are all very nice and welcoming. This is a place we will continue to visit for years to come. I urge you to stop in if you happen to be in the area.

From there, she snatched the bag out of my hands to start processing the return. As she rummaged through the bag she huffed and scoffed every time she retrieved something. She again gave me an attitude when I pulled out my debit card assuming I would have to swipe it to receive my refund. After that she took my kohls cash that I hadn't received less than 24 hours previously, and scanned it to see if it was "still valid". She scanned it very quickly and slammed it down on the counter stating that it was not. I believe she just after my kohls cash, wanting it all for her greedy self. My thoughts raced as I grasped at any possible explanation- "And what should a 16-year old girl need her precious Kohl's Cash for? Hmmmm? For Nee-dohs? Labubus? For a bag of Wallace's black licorice? As I was shopping they offered to hold my clothes in a dressing room until I was ready. Even better yet the items I wanted they offered to hold at the register so I didn't have to carry it around as I continued to shop and wait on my entourage to finish shopping. This is located in a small town (my hometown) but they offer many modern options to pay. (I love using Apple Pay, it's more concise t than getting my wallet out). I am very pleased with this store and plan to stop in every time I come home to visit.
