I was in Burney last summer, working for a few weeks and decided to catch a flick at this single…read morescreen theater. I ended up watching Halloween 2, which sucked, but this review is about the theater so let's move on. The presentation was very good, the theater has been updated to modern sound and projection system. The interior of the auditorium was very clean and the chairs were comfortable. I was the only patron that day, so the owner gave me a small tour of the projection booth and we chatted for a bit. I think it is great that she manages to keep the theater open in such a small town. If you are staying in Burney, I recommend checking the theater out and supporting this great local business!

I've been satisfied from this cinema multiple times, I've never had any problems with the food,…read morestaff, or movie. This is definitely a place I'd love to see multiple movies in, I think the only thing I would have to complain about would be the people that come to watch the movie with you, cause they can be pretty rude sometimes, but that's none of the theaters fault, so yeah honestly I have no complaints about this theater.

Wish I could give a better rating but unfortunately this theater does not support families with…read morelittle children. Our families came to watch a movie together and while my kids were not perfectly quiet as was to be expected given their ages they were doing fine and no one was disturbed or having any problems until the older guy and lady who work their were sitting in on the movie and thought they were being a distraction so preceded to first tell my husband to take one of them out then sat their whispering about us like we couldn't hear them and when I finally decided to leave as they were being more a distraction then my kids the older lady laughed at us and continued to make comments to the older guy whom I'm assuming was her husband. We have been to plenty of movies before and we always did our best to keep our kids quiet but in the end it's a family movie. Kids will cheer, talk, have fun and babies will cry. If anyone has a problem with that then as far as I can see they are the problem. Not the kids.

The guy behind the counter just told me no and asked if they were all mine. I told him yes. Then he says he doesn't believe me, and I can sit and watch the movie with them, or leave. I had to get back to work and I don't like scary movies as well as other kids I had to go get after work. Ridiculous. I'm especially not going to blast my other children's family drama and being under my guardianship because of their parent's choices for everyone to hear. Do better. It's a movie.

At this location a matinee showing is only $8.00 while in Redding the cheapest ticket for a matinee movie is $11.50 and the prices go up substantially from there depending on if you want the surround sound or the fancy reclining seat. This theatre here is simple and old school. And absolutely perfect for me and my families budget. Trust me, the buttered popcorn is just as delicious!! I highly recommend any local folks try this place out as an alternative to the fancy chain theatre in Redding! Your pocketbook will thank you!!
