Courtnay Staab is the worst doc ever! I have been in horrible pain for almost a month because she…read moredidn't do her job. I went to her cause I was having pain and she looked at me but didn't even swab me after I asked her to 3 times..she said she didn't need to swab me and that I was just dry and gave me estrogen cream. The pain was worse than labor! I knew it was not why I was in pain..the next day I called her and she told me to go to the urgent care. I went there and they asked me why my gyno sent me there. that she was supposed to swab me!!! That night I was in excruciating pain and had to go to the ER! They did a swab and said I had Candida Glabrata!!! they gave me cream but it didn't work so after 4 more ER visits my PCP finally did more tests and found out it was Candida and now I have to use boric acid for 2 weeks..im sooo livid..the pain has now spread to my legs and sides all because Courtnay didn't do her job! Stay away from her!!! its been a month of hell..she needs to be fired!!!! Its insane that I had to take a ambulance to the ER cause she didn't listen to me and do her job!!!!! Thats medical malpractice!!!!

I understand that doctors get behind, the problem was- no one communicated this to me. I checked after I had been waiting about 20 minutes to make sure I had my appointment time right. That would have been the perfect opportunity to let me know they're running an hour and a half behind. Then, the doctor saw me leaving, said nothing besides "so I'm going to the next room?". The office manager asked if I needed help and I told her I had been waiting an hour and a half and I would like my records. She apologized and that was it. The communication, wait time and lack of concern about a patient leaving the practice shows me exactly how important their patients are.

I went in to see Dr. Adeyi for my annual physical, and my visit exceeded expectations. Parking was ample and convenient. The facility is modern, clean, and looks beautiful. The front desk staff was kind and attentive (they even brought me cold water!). I was taken to the back by Nurse Florrie, who is just the sweetest woman. She was friendly, kept the mood light, and listened actively while I took her down the long, twisty road of my medical history. She, along with the front desk staff set the tone for my visit, and helped put my mind at ease. Dr. Adeyi was everything I hoped she would be, and more. Her reputation preceeded her, but even still, she exceeded my expectations. She was so kind, patient, and compassionate. I am usually very nervous in doctors' offices, due to some trauma from previous experiences. With Dr. Adeyi and Florrie, I never once felt uncomfortable. I felt that Dr. Adeyi really aimed to collaborate with me on my care, balancing her expertise with my preferences and lived experiences. Finally, I have a place that I can call home for my healthcare, with providers I can trust. I haven't seen Dr Nix in years so she may be different now…read more The pros were she was knowledgeable about meds/supplements for nausea during pregnancy, nice demeanor in the office prior to delivery. She was a safe, careful Dr and I did like some of her birthing views but based on my own experience and what I've seen in L&D over the years from working as a nurse I don't agree with all her birthing preferences. Maybe hers will align with yours though. The negatives were that because I had no pain with contractions the day my son was born and no other symptoms besides a very slow trickle, her on call widwife told me to go ahead and eat that day and go about the day as normal while there were no symptoms. So about 4 hrs after eating the leakage was scant but still continuing so I decided I should go any way to the hosp and it was wise because it turned out it was an early leak and not much amniotic fluid left which isn't safe. Dr Nix angrily accused me of eating anyway while knowing we were going to have to do a planned c-section. I told her I couldn't feel any of the contractions and that her on call midwife gave me the ok because it was a slow trickle and not obvious to her. She interrupted me and told me that what I was saying wasn't true. I'm a very honest person and was being sincere so it really upset me but I controlled my words and just didn't say anything else to her about it. I tried to be somewhat understanding with her because she may have been already having a stressful day before she got to my birth. After the c-section the gas pain that had spread into my neck was severe and I wish that she had warned me to get up immediately after 24 hrs after a c-section as I was a new nurse at the time and was not very experienced yet with the ob population. I got through it and changed OB Drs immediately after my son was born. So I gave her 3 stars because my experiences with her were a mixed bag.
