The day before our move no one had reached out to confirm so we sent a text to Comfort Delivery who we hired through Uhaul. The owner, Thomas Winters, replied to the text stating his moving company had dissolved and he wasn't coming. No one from Comfort Delivery or Uhaul let us know that and if we had not sent a text to confirm the day before, we would have been sitting here on moving day with no help. We reached out to this Uhaul location and Anthony answered the phone. We let him know that the movers we hired and paid for through their website are not even in existence and his first response was to laugh and tell us that yep, they should have let us know that. The owner of Comfort Delivery called us fat c*nts and said we need Jenny Craig for hiring help with our move. When we got there to the Uhaul store to pick up the truck the computers were down and we couldn't fill out the checklist at the store, so now we are just waiting to see if they are going to screw us over on drop off even though we had no option to fill out their checklist on the condition of the truck when we received it and we were given nothing showing the state of the truck when received it.

Well this has been a horrible experience. I reserved a 16ft trailer and 4x4 towing trailer. When i…read moreshowed up at the place to get my reserved truck the trailer was not attached. The person suggested that i only reserved it the night before was whybit wasnt there, this was incorrect i reserved it 2.5 days in advance. Regardless theybwould not get the trailer they made me deive the truck after loading it 40 mins opposite direction i needed to travel to get the trailer from another place to attach it drive "the only trailer available then" back to the original place to load my jeep. Then came the trip from north charleston south carolina to clever missouri. The truck while fine in city for some reason would not shift out of 2nd going up hill so.it burnt far more fuel than it should have and by end of trip it would not shift on level ground either. I estimate due to this i utilized an extra 40 dollars worth of fuel thus far. Next is apparently the trailer carrying my jeep had chunks of rusted metal on it one of which flew off and promptly hit my wifes vehicle following me and cracked the windsheild. Now final straw is we have finally reached our destination. I have unloaded the jeep and the truck and i went to back thebtrailer up to return them. They promptly slid down my driveways muddy incline, so i utilized the budget roadside assistance they suggested we call if anything happened. The roadside assistant manager told me that "according to google, there shouldnt be any incline there and i should have no problem and if he wants any help they will charge us for the Roadside assistance" I was told would be free. Horrible service and i can only imagine what awaits when we find some way of gettjng their truck and trailer free to actually turn in.
