If ever a business owner deserved to CLOSE, it would be this owner and this business. Her attitude…read moreand manner are defined daily by which side of the bed she gets up from. Today she runs her TV announcement that school is operating one hour late. With parents knowing the regular cut-off time for morning drop-off, you could reasonably assume that drop off would be extended by one hour. Instead virtually all parents were turned away if they came at 9am. It was such a problem that the owner didn't even bother to be there to share the good news. She left this burden to her young staff who were reportedly in tears to be turning the kids away. Unfortunately our work staff was impacted by moms and dads who had no place to take their kids. They thought they could work today and could not because of the owner's cavalier method of running this daycare/preschool. What she meant to say on the news: staff will be reporting one hour late....cutoff time for drop off is the SAME. What a loser. We've instructed our employees to find other daycare that is reliable as this facility has been erratic for the past 12 months in terms of its policies. Unfortunately when any incident like this happens again, our employees will have to provide proof that they are no longer at this facility or they will have to work elsewhere. The care of the children here seems good but there is no respect for the parents at all....the owner has removed the word "service" from what she offers.

Over crowded with kids!!! The rooms have dividers that go up half way to the ceiling. There are 20…read morekids on each side. That means 40 kids in one room with like 4 teachers. It was very noisy. All kids were talking or making some sort of noise. Just imagine how that sounds while you sit in that room. Not sure how kids learn there. I was overwhelmed when I left. I feel overwhelmed again just thinking about that place. I would not recommend. Baby room seemed like a jail. 3 kids (age maybe 6months-9months) were in area behind pony wall. Kids were crawling around and not one staff member was inside. I wouldn't want my daughter in there that for sure. Not safe. All staff looked extremely overwhelmed throughout classes. Overworked understaffed rooms are too small that amount of kids have.

I had to take a moment to do a review for this incredible School!…read more Stephanie the director has a true eye for detail and the way she goes about children's education is incredible! The facility is not only beautiful it is extraordinarily clean, and has everything your little one needs to grow! I enrolled my two and a half year olds this year and she has just blossomed the past couple months at lilac! She looks forward to school everyday and the teachers are so patient, kind, supportive, and helpful to the independent child where they teach multiple languages in everything they do! I'm so impressed by this school and I'm so impressed by Stephanie the director her choices of teachers and the way she treats her staff is incredible as well. Truly this is the best preschool I could have ever dreamed of it's such a blessing and I'm so grateful that it's a part of my community!

The first few years of a child's life are such important learning years. When we moved to the area,…read moreit was imperative to us that we find a preschool with warm, caring adults in a christian community that support development and an educational curriculum, while allowing children to have fun and explore with curiosity. We found all of that (and more!) at Smyrna Christian School. SCS has helped our child learn how to play, work together, and establish great friendships. They have continuously provided materials/activities that interest our child (and challenge her!) They have encouraged our child's efforts (which has truly aided in adding to her confidence.) They set clear limits for behavior (which is appreciated!) I love always receiving our child's drawings, writings, and crafts at the end of every week. They encourage parental involvement (which goes back to the whole "community feel") and welcome parental participation with class parties. How beautiful is that?! I truly cannot say enough GOOD about this establishment. Before we found SCS, our only-child went to a "glorified daycare" preschool and for so long, we didn't know how much it was hindering our child. It wasn't until we moved and enrolled at SCS that we saw our child turn a complete 180 in every aspect of her life that we realized what EXCELLING truly meant. I am forever grateful for SCS (and my only complaint would be that I can't keep our child here for kindergarten, too!)

My daughter goes to half day Pre-K at Smyrna Christian School, and we cannot say enough good things…read moreabout the staff and the facility. Every morning we are greeted with a smile and a "Good Morning" from Miss Jodi in the office, and all along the hallways my kiddo happily says hello to all the teachers. They're all very friendly and engage your child in conversation which makes them feel seen and heard, and important. She just loves talking with them on the way to her classroom. Her teacher is Miss Vickie, and she just adores her. She is kind and attentive, and a wonderful human being. My daughter has learned SO much this year, and she loves doing it! They learn Spanish, colors, numbers, writing, and she even comes home telling me about the fun centers they have in class, and how silly George Washington's wig is! I love how happy she is there, and how much she's grown in her independence and knowledge. I'm convinced that a better school does not exist. Truly, it has been the biggest blessing for our child. I wish they taught kindergarten so we could stay!!
