I had to call the Imaging center to get my own results and interpret them myself since my doctor nor his assistant never bothered to call me. I was originally told that it was faxed electronically and they hadn't received it yet. I am noticing that this is a pattern with this place. If you don't constantly chase them, things don't get done. The imaging center for example claimed they never received my paperwork while the doctors office claimed they had sent it. I swear I should be reimbursed my copay for the work I had to put in just to get my MRI done. I made sure to call Dr. Pierce's assistant Justin on Monday and let him know the imaging center had sent my results over to them at 7:30 am Saturday. They resent them on Monday and then resent them a second time per my request just to make sure they received them. I let Justin know that I am in A LOT of pain and was very nervous for the results so to please call me right away when they receive them. He claimed since it was an electronic fax it would take a little while to be put into the system. Had no idea it took a week... oh wait because it doesn't. By Wednesday I called the imaging center myself and they emailed me the results and guess what it came in right away !!! I had already had previous issues getting a pre authorization for my MRI. Since they were not on top of it, I had to call several times and let them know the imaging center never received my paperwork. Of course the imaging center tells me two days prior to my appointment that my insurance company denied my pre authorization. They told me they informed my doctor and were surprised no one from the office reached out to me. (I wasn't surprised) Doctors office never called to let me know. This is what led to me having to reschedule and have to suffer for another two weeks. The only positive thing I have to say is that Dr. Pierce called me back on a Saturday and immediately handled my pre authorization the following Monday. I'm really not sure whether it's the office staff or the doctor or both, but I have never in my life waited this long for an MRI result nor have I ever felt so ignored by a doctor or their staff. Needless to say I will be taking my results elsewhere. You lost a patient.
