I am a florist at fairytale flowers, i have worked for fairytales coming up 5 years. i have worked at about 6 florist in coventry since i was 15 and none of them set the standard of elegance and style fairytales does we do everything possible to make your day as special as we can.
unfortunatly out of the 50 to 60 weddings we deal with each year there is 1 or 2 disapointments due to miss comunication with the bride.
in the case of the bride below she went with a package we put together last year of £400. that included a bridal bouquet 1 bridesmaid and 8 table centres aswell as buttonholes thank you bouquets and corsages. and clearly stated at the bottom it didnt include set up and delivery at a cost of £45 which wasnt added till the last minute. she then added to this 5 more bridesmaids extra buttonholes, thank you bouquets and table centres unfortunatly it all adds up. but for what she got it was a very very good price any other florist it would have cost her well over £1000.
unfortunatly she forgot to mention in her speeches that the fishbowls were only on hire and 9 went mising one even ended up in manchester, fortunatly we got them all back but 2 were chiped. as well as 12 glass tea light holders which were never returned. when our brides come and pay there balance we have to get them to sign a contract saying any missing, stolen or broken glassware must be paid for. we only charged her for one bowl and 12 tea light holders because we nice like that and know that accidents do occasonally happen. but we are yet to recieve payment for the above broken items. luckily we have 16 in stock and have ordered more to replace the broken ones so we didnt have to send them out to the upcoming wedding.
the "chap" she talks about is an alderly gentleman who occasionally does deliverys for us his genuine consern and the general fact he was worried we wernt going to beable to do the upcoming wedding has been mistaken for rudeness. this man has a heart of gold and wouldnt dream of talking or treating anyone in that manner.
we do appologise for anyone who feels they were treated that way as it wasnt intentional.
when i personally rang this lady and explaned the situation she hung the phone up on me and then all i got was her answering machine. luckily i had a contact telephone number for her grandmother. who was very polite and helpfull. i hope this clears up any misunderstandings and doesnt put anyone off using our wedding service. we now have new packages that include the set up and delivery charge and have been jigged about to offer better value for money. alternatively you can come in and have a consultation and we can put together a unique package to suit your needs. fairy wishes roxie :) xx read more
