If you are looking for pure relaxation, this is the way to go...Don't get me wrong sail boats are great, but on a Cat you have so much more room, it's very stable (not going to spill your drink) and you have the net to layout on... If you want to go for a dip, they do accommodate and provide towels! It was still in the 90's that night so it was definitely a must do! The boat is immaculate. You can see the owners really care about her. Speaking of which, the Captain and his First Mate are a joy. They make it their business to show you a wonderful time. Be careful though, you may get caught in conversations about their travels and miss out on the incredible views. They have sailed all over the world and have fun stories to share. The trip was a perfect way to wind down your work day. If I could, I would be out there daily! From beginning to end, we all had a wonderful time on the Phenix!

We had about 22 people on the boat and it was reasonably priced - it was close to $80ish per person. The boat is BYOB and BYOF. The boat provides you with a water mat, floaties, a pong table, coolers, a speaker, and a bathroom! It made the experience so much better because we didn't have to worry about a lot of the essentials we would have to bring along and did not have to worry about bathroom issues. There are also life vests for those who don't feel comfortable being a strong swimmer in Michigan Lake. The boat was three hours long and we docked closer to the south loop area where there was plenty of space to get into the water but also be near other boats. Our captains were AMAZING and made sure the whole ride was smooth and gave us updates on time. Overall, I would recommend renting a boat through here to anyone looking for a boat to fit a big party of friends or family!

The boat staff were all helpful and very friendly. I selected this cruise for my wife and I because it was led by someone with some real architecture knowledge. Our guide, Bryan, had a degree in architectural history and was from the Chicago area. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the buildings along our path on the main branch as well as north and south branches of the Chicago river. We found the tour very informative and fun. Bryan was not someone who was just trained to be a guide but we found him to be an expert in this field. I appreciated that they did not push the sale of drinks, but told us where on the boat to purchase them if you wanted anything to drink. They also politely asked that if you wanted to talk to your friends, spouse, etc, to please go below deck so others could listen to the presentation. I'd highly recommend this company and our guide, Bryan.
