The walking trail looks nicely shaded in one area, and has mulch floor in the shaded area, with a paved trail in the full sun area. Neither are fabulous with wheelchair access, yet great place for kiddos to burn off energy. Pavilion offers picnic tables, shade & ample room for breeze weather permitting. Bathrooms are considered accessible, with the womens having an out of regulation bump at the door, but still possible to overcome by many. If no one in your party has a physical disability, this is the park for you! Even with a disability, our party will likely return another time for the awesome energy burn. Please consider rubber flooring for play area, accessible parking, and access for all.

Natural features include a large wooded tract composed mostly of mature oaks, several old fields in various stages of succession, two water-filled mine holes, and extensive flood plain areas along the Jordan Creek. The creek and mine holes are stocked for fishing. The park offers excellent bird watching and nature study. There is a picnic area with a pavilion in the park. The park contains four tennis courts, a baseball field, three softball fields, soccer fields, and a jogging/walking trail. The park is also home to a community garden. Ample parking is available. My first review by campfire light…read more I came along with my boy scout son for a weekend at Tinicum Park in Erwinna, Pennsylvania, just across the Delaware River from Frenchtown, New Jersey. It is not a big park, but has a simple camp facility in an Ash grove a few hundred yards from the water. I remember campout food as being oddly delicious, even with the extra grit and rustic outdoor kitchen, but these days with lightweight stoves and propane flex lines, the campfire is just for night stories. Cooking is much easier, if somewhat less rewarding. Still, I don't think I'll ever get accustomed to deep fried Oreos. The Chicken Tenders and Penne with Ragu were decent after a hike into Frenchtown, and several hours of scout skill training, football, and boys being boys. I even found about 90 minutes to break away and return for R & R at the National Hotel and The Bridge Café while the boys were off on another adventure. Those reviews to follow. Tinicum may not be the first place you think of when considering an upriver jaunt, but if you are into a night or two of roughing it (with a run to Ftown for cocktail and lunch overlooking the river) than it might be the perfect spot to make magic happen.
