With having a first child, pregnancy is scary, especially in the last 4 weeks. I had a couple scares and went in a couple times to get checked. All those times with false labor pains the nurses were kind and friendly. Not once did I feel uncomfortable. When I was finally admitted the nursing staff took great care of me. Helped with dealing with the contractions while waiting for my epidural and got me anything I needed in general. The Dr who performed my epidural was very nice and friendly. He walked me through the process as he did it and it really helped to keep me calm through the pain of both the contractions and the needles. My epidural lasted all the way through pushing, he really knew what he was doing!! Here, the delivering doctor, is whoever is on call, so it was not my original OB. I was extremely impressed with how I was treated throughout the whole process. I honestly believe that if it wasn't for the staff here, I wouldn't have had as great of an experience for my first time. They helped me with pushing and I believe they even saved me from any severe tearing. The recovery rooms are really nice, fit a lot of visitors at once and just felt very comfortable in general. The food was delicious! And I highly suggest getting the bananas foster french toast when you are there! The best part for recovery was that they had a nursery. I was able to have someone look after my baby so I could get a couple hours sleep before her next feed. I don't know how I would have handled everything without the ability to get the tiny break to regain some energy. I'm looking forward to returning for my next pregnancy and delivery. They know what they are doing here and they know how to treat their patients right!

My daughter recently gave birth at this hospital and it was the worst experience a mother could…read morehave. She had a Covid test ( which was not fully completed) and it came back positive. She was told if she had another one, it would change her care completely. She had the second one done and it was negative. It didn't seem to matter though despite being told this. She and her husband were not able to see or hold her baby after birth. She wasn't able to clean up or shower and was released less than 24 hours after delivery. There are more details too, but just too much to put in this review. I cannot even believe this horrible experience. This is a point in your life that you always remember. She was robbed of all of this. She had no bonding time with her baby, no photos, nothing. And she did NOT have Covid which was clearly shown in her negative test and no symptoms. My other daughter gave birth 3 weeks later and changed her hospital because of this. She ( and all of us) are so glad she did. I give this hospital zero stars!

From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warmth and joy, immediately putting us at ease. Communication was clear and thorough every step of the way, and the level of care provided was exceptional. The entire team was compassionate, attentive, and professional--you could genuinely tell they enjoy what they do and care deeply about their patients. Before surgery, while waiting in the waiting room, a nurse came in and thoughtfully offered my 3-year-old a coloring sheet, a teddy bear, and colored pencils. Such a small gesture, but incredibly sweet and so meaningful for a little one in a medical setting. What stood out most was the personal touch throughout the entire experience. Every team member addressed me by name, and Dr. John even took the time to personally call me to let me know the surgery went well. That call brought immense comfort and reassurance during a stressful moment. The facility itself is large and well-equipped, with a gift shop, cafeteria, pharmacy, and other medical offices all within the building. Parking was a bit challenging--the lot is large and was full, and no matter where you park, there is a fair walk to the building--but once inside, the experience more than makes up for it. While heading to the pharmacy, I accidentally went up to the second level when it's actually located on the first. A kind woman who worked there noticed I was lost and not only redirected me, but walked me all the way to the pharmacy, even though it was a bit of a distance. Along the way, she made small talk with my toddler, engaging him and making him feel seen and excited. That kindness did not go unnoticed. My son and I left for the duration of the surgery, which lasted a few hours. When we returned, staff even offered my son a popsicle. We declined, but once again I found myself thinking--how genuinely kind and thoughtful are these people? From check-in to discharge, we felt supported, informed, and cared for as a family. We are incredibly grateful for such a positive experience and would highly recommend this team and facility to anyone seeking quality, compassionate care.

Went, refused to treat me, sent me to ER, sat bleeding for 2.5 hours all over myself. Other patients came and went. Told nurse desk I could go home and bleed to death and I left. Blood squirting by the time I got home. Husband drove me to Mercy in Coon Rapids. They had no rooms available in the ER but put me on a bed in the hallway, which was fine and worked on me for several hours. Thought an artery was nicked and had to give me 6 injections of blood clotting medications. Finally stopped bleeding. I will never go back to North Memorial Maple Grove again. My second bad experience at that ER!

I wish that the State of Minnesota would step in and force Park Nicollet Clinics to answer their…read morephones at each separate clinic location. Overview: a.) I cannot use a Health Partners "My Plan" online account to make an appointment for my child. b.) I also cannot make a phone call to Health Partners or Park Nicollet Clinic to get an appointment for my child. c.) My child cannot use their online account "My Plan" to make an appointment for themselves. d.) No Health Partner patients ages 13-18 can reach their clinic by phone or online, to make a medical appointment. 1. Park Nicollet calls are currently answered through one phone number 952-977-0300. 2. When you call to make an appointment, you go through phone mail for 4 minutes all to come to a final message saying they are experiencing a high level of calls and are no longer accepting any calls. 3. The phone message ends with a message to direct you to make your own appointment online. To do so, you must set up a patient account. To do this you must have a valid Health Partners Patient ID. 4. My issue is that I was naive and spent 3 days calling the Health Partners- Park Nicollet Clinics phoneline and held the line listening to messages until I received the disappointing message - "Due to a high volume of calls Park Nicollet cannot take calls or messages". The prompt told me to make an appointment online. 5. I did set up an online account for my child. After setting this up I learned that I still cannot make an appointment because of a new 2022 law that gives complete medical privacy to children over the age of 13. Park Nicollet's solution is to deny all appointments and message ability from every patient online account that they have between the ages of 13 -18. While adult patients are able to use an online account to make appointments for themselves, parents of children or teens aged 13-18 are left with no ability through their "MY Plan" online Health Partners Account to make a medical appointment. 5. I did not give up. I used my own patient online account to message my caregiver on 11/28/2022 to ask for an appointment for my child. I was sent this message. When sending this message, the clinic already knew that they were not accepting phone calls. "Hi -We apologize for the inconvenience. We can only address questions regarding yourself through your MyChart account. Please call the clinic to discuss family members if your relative has signed a verbal disclosure form that allows us to discuss their medical care with you. Otherwise, please have the patient contact us directly. For any referral request, this would need to be done through a billable chart visit or making a phone/video, or in-person appointment with a provider. Thank you, Nurse Triage Line HealthPartners & Park Nicollet" 6. Naturally, I became frustrated. I called to complain to Health Partners. I was told I had to call Health Partners IT Department and request proxy access to my child's account. I called for this on 11/29/2022 and was denied because my daughter was at school, and not present to give verbal approval. I called on 11/29/2022 with my daughter home from school and I have been told I will receive proxy access. I am still waiting for their IT department to get around to that. Large Medical companies like Health Partners should not use a high volume of calls as an excuse to not answer the phone. The fact that they have insolated every single call through one switchboard that eventually tells every single caller, they are not taking calls is crazy. I believe this endangers public health, and I really worry about my fellow neighbor or elderly person that lacks ownership of a computer or may not have Wi-Fi access, or the skills to manage their Health Partners My Plan. Health Partners has forgotten about these patients and has created a closed system that leaves patients with no choice but to show up in person at urgent cares or emergency rooms when they cannot see their general doc

Clinic is OK, good location and fast check in. I do not care much for the nurse practitioner who…read moresees my son every time, though. I keep forgetting to pick somebody else every time I make an appt. I feel like she does not listens and don't respect my position about certain shots (flu and HPV). She only cares about convincing me and my son of why he should have those shots, especially the HPV. If as a mom I do not care about that shot you as a medical provider should respect that. Period. And just for the record, my kids are all UP-TO-DATE with all the mandatory shots.

For the last month park nicollet dropped my IMPORTANT appointments without contacting me. I expected and needed these close follow ups for my auto immune condition, concussion, hormones, etc. I've never had insurance problems in my life, and I have NEVER changed my insurance. Apparently they're claiming I have a different insurance, so they just cancel appointments without letting patients explain or know. Having a weakened immune system I expected better from Park Nicollet! I took a whole day off for this appointment, and this was my SECOND time in a month doing the same thing: waiting and finding out they canceled without telling me. On the phone they tell told me to call my social worker- the funny thing is I have NEVER had a social worker in my life, so that confused me. I'm highly disappointed that they don't try to assist me and direct me where to go to "remove" this insurance that I have never applied for. I made 2 appointments in the last month and I am now completely out of medication not because of me, but because of their lack of respect and organization for patients like me. They had me calling around for the last 3 weeks trying to figure this out. Two weeks ago I talked to an account manager who said the ONLY insurance I have on file is HEALTH PARTNERS, so for them to tell me I don't have insurance they take please - is RIDICULOUS. Hear me when I say go somewhere else.

I am extremely concerned about my experience at Mercy Hospital…read more I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and am currently undergoing chemotherapy, along with severe chronic pain from multiple surgeries. I was at the hospital supporting a close friend during a relapse in their sobriety while already physically exhausted, dehydrated, and emotionally overwhelmed. Instead of compassion, I was met with disrespect. A nurse called me a "bad friend" because my friend had relapsed. I was also told I could not have a glass of water because "we aren't here for you," which felt cruel and dehumanizing. I was also deeply disturbed by the doctor who appeared visibly upset. He was argumentative, shaky, very red in the face and smelled strongly of cologne. He made me feel unsafe as a medically fragile person. Hospitals should provide compassion and dignity. That is not what I experienced. I left feeling humiliated and deeply upset.
