I never heard of a store that made you purchase clothing before trying it on. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER CARE. So, I put the capris back. Then got some underwear off the rack only to be told at the register that they couldn't sell it to me because the set up person forgot to leave the tool to remove the tamper proof safety tab on the wrapping. So I asked the girl why they had the merchandise on the rack if they couldn't sell it? She just shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't know. I just work here" I asked if there was any avenue for customer feedback to the company. She said no...so lesson learned, SHOP LOCALLY OWNED STORES! I used to enjoy shopping at Greene County Freight & Food Sales, but my opinion changed after a…read morerecent visit. As I was leaving, I asked to purchase a pack of cigarettes and was told, "We do not sell cigarettes." This confused me, since they have a smoke shop and sell other tobacco products. The response didn't seem accurate, and it left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. If there has been a policy change regarding cigarette sales, that's completely understandable--but a clear explanation would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, the interaction left a negative impression, and because of that experience, I've decided not to shop there again. Customer service and clear communication matter, and this experience just didn't meet that standard.

I'm not a big drinker, but there are two items that I have gotten there - one I needed for a recipe and then became a big fan of (Quinta De La Rosa Tawny Port) and Rekorderlig, a premium Swedish hard cider that is gluten-free. I'm not even GF, but if you are, you have to try this. It is absolutely delicious and comes with so many flavors. Pear is my favorite. Mango raspberry is my second favorite. The cider is crisp, tart, sweet, and super refreshing and carries a ton of flavor. This location is easily accessible and has everything you could ever want or need for your next party or hang out at home. I'll still shop here when visiting family in Springfield but happy to see they expanded to O'Fallon.
