We had a pleasant family stay at the hotel this weekend. They have free breakfast! And waffles! My fav. Plenty of space for you to eat in the morning. Even outdoor seating. Our room is why I have 4 stars out of 5. For some reason our room was extremely humid. Like it was super moist. The carpet didn't add to comfort but made the humidity feel worse. The rest of the hotel felt great even though it was 90s outside even if you stepped into the hallway it felt better than the room itself. I called the front desk and she just said that it is always humid in this area. I was trying to explain it is only this bad in the room not outside. Anywho. The bathroom shower needed a bit more scrubbing and don't make the mistake of looking under the footrest in the shower like I did. . Yikes. Also there was no where to hang wet towels to dry so we could reuse them. We stayed the weekend and no one ever came to change the towels out. It is a 20 minute ride to go to the main entrance of Rehoboth beach fyi. read more

This is a nice hotel that is surprisingly quiet. It's very clean, solid breakfast offering and friendly staff. However, the location although equidistant from Rehoboth and Lewes, was a big pain because it is on a 4-6 lane divided highway. There is no light so it means you must turn right and then do a U turn. With all our comings and goings it became a very annoying thing to do. For this reason, I don't think we will be staying here again. read more

Pros: Decent location, ample parking, nice staff, clean and free breakfast, and an indoor pool. Cons: Extra small TV, it was the size of a computer monitor maybe 32", very small pillows, noisy air conditioner. I would stay here again for the right price. read more

PROS The location is excellent, super easy driving distance to the beach and boardwalk as well as south to Bethany and Fenwick. They have a nice indoor pool, workout room and a basement bar Staff was very friendly CONS Although the location is pretty good, getting to and from the hotel is a challenge because the Coastal Highway is a divided road, so you can't simply make a left out of their lot to go to the beach. If the hotel was located at an intersection, that would have solved the problem, but it's land locked. So to go to the beach, you have to make a right out of the lot, cross 3 lanes of traffic, and make a U Turn. Even during the "off season" traffic was heavy at times. This may sound petty, but one aspect of breakfast was a bit uneven.  One day there was a ton of fruit (apples, oranges, and bananas) one day there was no fruit, and one day the sorriest mushiest, grossest looking banana in the Western World was set out. Same thing with ketchup and hot sauce -there one day but missing the next day COVID PROTOCOL No more than 2 people in the elevators at a time Hand wipe stations are found throughout the hotel Disinfectant wipes are throughout the rooms No daily housekeeping Leave your trashcan in the hall outside your door to be emptied Drop your towels in a bin on the first floor and get new towels from the front desk No cash can be used -credit cards only read more

This was my first stay at the Marriott Suites on Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach , Delaware. The room was immaculate, big with a Huge KING SIZE BED. Lots of closet space and drawers. Bathroom with a Ginormous shower with Rain Shower Head. Spotless . This morning I had their breakfast. Omelettes two varieties, sausage, English Muffin and Jam. Coffee was Freshly Brewed and there was Oat Milk my favorite. ( How in the World Did they know that?) The woman who takes care of this breakfast bonanza is very humble. I paid my respects. Awesome Job well done. The Front Desk People could not be nicer . Very professional and helpful. I will make it a habit to book these properties on my next trip. All around the hospitality was a Solid 12 out of 10! I highly recommend if you can find a Fairfield Property for your next vacation trip book it now. My husband and U are Marriott bon voy members so every 3 months or so we are able to essentially get a free night stay at any Marriott of our choice. We laid it on the Rehoboth location because it was definitely a quick getaway from the Maryland area. The only reason I'm dinging this location a star is because despite the upgrades, they still have a very noisy air conditioning unit in the room, which for some could be difficult to sleep with, the check in with seamless for the most part. Although when we came back, there was not anyone at the front desk for quite a while, so not sure what was going on there.. This location also does a continental breakfast we didn't stick around for it because it was packed and I didn't notice any extra seating when we looked. However that's a plus for travelers in a rush! I would stay here again and would recommend to others read more

We had a smooth check-in. The front desk staff was pleasant. The room was spacious and semi clean, there was a piece of waffle under the bed when we walked in but we just threw it out. Bottom Line: Basic hotel with a good location and mostly friendly staff. I stay at a Fairfield Inn in the San Diego area on a regular basis so that particular hotel set my expectations for this Fairfield. The Fairfield Inn is at the lower echelon of Marriotts but generally it's adequate and comfortable. It's nice that this hotel has a bar in the basement along with an indoor pool. I wish the TVs in the rooms were bigger and had smart TV features and that the rooms had USB ports. As a frequent traveler I feel like USB ports really separate the ho-hum hotels from the serious hotels! The curtains seems dated too but the bed was comfortable. I never expect to be upgraded but as a Titanium Elite Lifetime Gold rewards member I typically do so I really miss it when I don't! At this hotel I didn't get upgraded so we just had a basic king room with a view of dumpsters but the sunrises through the trees were nice! We enjoyed the location since we spent most of our time in Lewes and on the northern end of Rehoboth. The staff that we encountered in person were very friendly and welcoming. The staff member that I spoke to on the phone about getting a possible upgrade, seemed less enthusiastic. read more

Very pleased with our weekend stay here. The entire facility was immaculately clean and it was kept that way during our entire stay. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. The beds were comfortable. We did not have daily room service but requests for towels and coffee refills for the in room coffee machine were promptly delivered. There was no full breakfast buffet but we were offered a "grab and go" breakfast. They had several kinds of breads and pastries ,yogurt,fruit, and granola bars. They had some good coffee and a hot tea selection along with bottled water and orange juice. You went up to the counter and they packed up what ever you wanted. You could take it back to your room or eat outside on the deck where they had spaced tables. They had an indoor pool which was limited to 10 persons but during our entire stay I never saw anyone using it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone was required to wear masks in the common areas and everyone did so. We always felt safe and comfortable. I will definitely return when we are in the area. read more

We stayed at this hotel from Dec. 29- Jan. 2, 2024. I repeated asked for maid service and never received it. When we checked, they said every third day but they would make an exception. Never got it. I went to the desk and asked again. It never happened. I think a four night stay from a very frequent Marriott customer deserves better. There are many better options. I was completely disappointed. I have stayed at the nearby Holiday Inn Express Rehoboth Beach several times this year. I enjoyed my prior stays there. I have also enjoyed my stays at other Fairfield Inns in other locations. This was my first time staying here at this Fairfield location, because as a Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Platinum member I had an annual night free room. I actually stayed here two consecutive nights including my one night free and my second night using my 35k Bonvoy hotel points. My first night was in room 326 with two queen beds, because that was what was available at the time of my check in. My second night was a confirmed king, therefore, I changed my room in the morning around 11am. I was able to easily change my room in the morning, because a king bedroom became available for my second night stay. My king bedroom 219 was smaller than the 326 queen bedroom, but had a better view of the front parking lot of the hotel. My 326 queen bedroom was larger, but had a view of the rear parking lot. The hotel offered a complimentary buffet breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, Jimmy Dean muffin sandwiches, cereal, coffee, tea, milk, bananas, apples, etc. Their complimentary buffet breakfast was actually better than the Holiday Inn Express complimentary breakfast. Also this hotel does have a bar in the basement, which the Holiday Inn does not have. I recommend staying here. read more

Just checked in to a room we booked SIX months ago at the Fairfield with my friend. We've especially looked forward to this annual girl's weekend shopping trip (it's our 26th year) because 2020 has been particularly challenging for all of us. We stayed here last year and had a great experience which is why we came back to this particular hotel. That all changed this year when we checked in. When we arrived, we were told that our double queen room had been "upgraded" to a single king room. We stated we did not want a king bed, and that we would be happy with what we reserved again six months ago. The clerk, Kim, explained that it wasn't possible because they were full. She offered to let us talk to a manager but then said there was none on duty. She offered that we could move rooms tomorrow night when there would be a room available. To add insult to injury, our room is handicapped fitted with a hand sprayer and does not have a regular shower or bath. If we were here with a husband, a King bed would have been great. If we were wheelchair bound it would be especially thoughtful, but to be told that one of us can sleep on a pull out couch at over 50 years old and not even have a shower and say that it is an "upgrade" is insulting. She offered to give us 10,000 Marriott points as a consolation. We would have left but after driving all day we were exhausted and took the room. read more

I stayed here with a couple co-workers for business, and we had no complaints. I thoroughly enjoyed the politeness of everyone on this property, and I have to give a shout out to one man who worked the breakfast station every morning, who's name I sadly didn't get. He took notice of my sports shirts and proceeded to have light conversations with me about local sports every morning and it really made going down for breakfast each morning all the more enjoyable. I wish I saw him on my last day to tell him in person and take note of his name. While on the subject, the complimentary breakfast was very good! Scrambled eggs and the sausage were delicious and I had them every day we were here. The property was very clean, very well-kept, and there weren't any instances where it felt like it needed an upgrade. The inside pool was a decent size and felt really good after a long day at work. It was also very warm, but the surrounding air of the room was surprisingly cool so it felt cold to get out of the pool. We were near every restaurant we could possible want to visit as the hotel is either a short walk or drive to everything that you want on the strip and just a short drive from the boardwalk and beach. Fairfield Inn has never let me down before and I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area again. read more

We traveled approx.10 hrs to arrive on a pre-holiday weekend to check-in, only to find a live crawling cockroach on our bed. We had 2 rooms previously reserved, informed the front desk of the live cockroach and were moved to different rooms, one only 3 rooms away from the original room with the cockroach, the other directly across from the elevator, also not far from the cockroach. After a long day of travel and it being in the evening & having an event to attend, there was not time to look for another hotel. Upon returning home from our stay, I promptly contacted Customer Relations (on hold approx 30 min) and was told that "someone would contact us in a couple days". We were never contacted. I again called Customer Relations, again, spoke with a representative, placed "on hold" with greater than another 30 min wait for an Elite "manager" in San Antonio who informed me that we would be contacted "tomorrow" by the hotel General Manager Mr. Jerry Bellistri, which never happened either. Being a Platinum Premier client with frequent worldwide travel over many years, I would hope that any customer deserves greater respect and courtesy, particularly if an issue arises. Of note, this was the only Marriott property in close proximity to our gathering, thus why this property was chosen. This was not worth the money at all. Upon arrival, they had two people at the front desk. The lady waiting on us answered every single phone call, instead of checking us in, the second lady was standing there looking at us. After dealing with beach traffic to get there the last thing I feel like doing is waiting for every single phone call to be answered. I guess I always learned in customer service that the physical person in front of you is who you work with first. But I will acknowledge I could have been more patient. I wanted to enjoy the beach and area not my hotel. The room was kinda clean, very humid - air conditioner did not get cold - was SO loud. Breakfast food was okay. Waffle maker was the the best. Parking was not an issue, they had water in the front office which was the nicest thing they offered. The location is weird, you have to go down to the next light and make a u-turn. If the hotel was completely amazing, I don't think this would have been an annoyance. Bathroom was gross, I wished I had brought flip-flops to shower with. It is close to the beach, just a 10 minute uber and we didn't want to have to deal with parking so that was nice. I would definitely not go back here and would book another place. There is a Comfort Inn on the other side of the street that looked like it was similar quality. read more

We stayed at this hotel over a recent 3 day weekend. It's close enough to both Rehoboth and Lewes Beaches right off Route 1. I'm glad Marriott finally has a property in the area that I can use my rewards points at. The property opened about a year ago. It's your standard Fairfield, which is good if you're used to them already. The pool is somewhat oddly located in the basement (!) beside a bar (!), which might be the poorest design I've ever witnessed in person and likely a lawsuit just begging to happen. On the weekend of our visit the hotel wasn't super busy so we were able to use the moderately heated (albeit somewhat small for a property this size) pool. There's no hot tub. The bar was pretty empty and I was there with family so I can't tell you much about it. The ground level has an open area for breakfast. The breakfast was standard fare with waffles, sausage, etc. The rooms were about what you'd expect if you've stayed at Fairfield. The parking was a mixed bag due to the odd shape of the lot. There's no rear entrance or side entrance close to the one elevator. I can't recap this visit without mentioning Zachary "Zach" Hanna, the Front Desk Manager who checked me in upon arrival. I've been Marriott Silver Elite for years and I typically don't get any special treatment when I check in (90% of the time for business). Zach was especially chatty when I arrived, and I just happened to tell him we were in town celebrating my daughter's 4th birthday. He gave us an upgrade to a suite (I'd booked a King) and the room was ready immediately. It was a much better fit for our two adult/two kids family and made the stay so much more enjoyable. Zach made note of my daughter's birthday and was very welcoming when my family checked in, and when we saw him in the lobby. The next day, when we came back from the beach, there was a huge surprise in our room. Zach had sent up two birthday balloons, a huge bag of Haribo gummy bears and a card for our daughter. It was a great surprise and the sort of special touch that's really appreciated and validates my decision to stick with Marriott for the dozens of business trips I take a year. I can't say enough about this guy's dedication to customer service. We will absolutely be staying at this hotel every time we come back to Rehoboth. Zach's professionalism just cemented this decision. I would give this property 6 stars if I could, mostly because of Zach. read more

We stayed here over Thanksgiving w/end. The hotel is brand new, very clean and comfortable. The rooms are nicely sized and appointed. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. Good pillows too! The bathroom was awesome and large!! Finally a shower with a foot/step for shaving and a ledge for your toiletries!! The sink had plenty of counter space. The window actually opened!! I cannot stand being trapped in a hermetically sealed hotel room. It was really nice to get 4 or 5 inches of fresh air :)) The complimentary breakfast was very nice - fresh fruit, waffle station, yogurt selection. The coffee station could be improved. Raw sugar and a container of half & half instead of those horrible little plastic containers would be nice. We drove to Starbucks a mile down the road :) read more

Just recently stayed at this Marriott property with my wife. Although there were some bright spots during our stay, there were unfortunately more disappointments than we expected... THE GOOD... -the best shower in a hotel ever! -staff was friendly -lot of options for continental breakfast -ample parking THE BAD... -only way to flush the toilet was to hold down the handle -air conditioner rattled and barely kept the room cool...lowered it to 65° and it barely felt 70°..also upon returning to our room after having dinner it was very warm inside and we never touched it! -took several tries to gain access into room using swipe card -one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on...very hard, springs-in-the-back feeling...kept waking up....slept terribly -pillows lost shape quickly -had to make u-turns too much when arriving to and leaving the property Overall the location was ok, not too far from the beach, but the hotel itself was less to be desired. Quite frankly I would have spoken to management if our stay was longer, but it was only one night. I'd book elsewhere next trip. read more

Booked a King/Sofa Bed sweet, unlike its advertisement the room did not have two separate rooms as it seemed to display on the website. The pool and gym were both incredibly small and kids were all around, but that is to be expected at a family location such as Rehoboth Beach. The elevators didn't seem to be heated and were quite hot and muggy. Overall our stay was enjoyable because of the comfortable furniture and friendly staff but I would defiantly not stay here again. P.S. 50% of Hotel Rooms were directed at a graveyard right next to the property, which is not really something you want to see on vacation, very inconvenient location if your trying to get to the beach. Great for business travelers and meetings considering it's a Marriott but not great for families and certainly not worth the money. read more

This place is about 2 years old, but still looks new. The rooms are very nice and quiet, the bedding is comfortable, and the layout of the room is very good. This Fairfield, a Marriott brand, is brand new, beautifully decorated, quiet, and has a friendly and helpful staff. All over 100 of us enjoyed the hospitality room located in the lower level near a bar and lounge with fireplace and outside deck. Never heard anyone else from my room. Very comfortable beds and bedding and close to several restaurants. Nice basic workout room and pool and you can't beat the price for a resort. Easy drive to downtown Lewis and the beach and boardwalk in Rehoboth. Choose this one. For a small hotel, deserves every one of 5 Stars. read more

Amazing hotel with amazing staff. Recently stayed here for a week and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The hotel staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Our room was always clean and had plenty of room. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and never ran out of food. Having to go past the hotel and make a u turn was not a big deal considering that's what you have to do for most of the businesses on the coastal highway. Great place to stay with kids. We stayed only one night, but the staff were all friendly. I was a little concerned when we checked in bc I know they were completely full and our room was behind the elevator, but we didn't hear anything all night. Continental breakfast was really convenient with kids - I would go early as it gets a little busy after 8:30 or so. Took off one star bc the pool in the basement is small and seemed a little murky with chemicals, but the kids loved it all the same. Would definitely stay again. read more

Just checked into this hotel last evening. I am a long time fan of Marriott, Platinum Elite, own 3 vacation timeshares and use Marriott when I travel. Wanted to stay close to Rehobeth to visit the beach area. In a nutshell, after traveling for over 30 years and being a Marriott fan since the early 90s, I do not feel this hotel meets the standard of Mr MARRIOTT. I will never visit here again. We booked a suite only to be greeted at the front desk with communication that our reservation was only for a single room and bed. Someone made an error. On July 4 I guess they were compelled to give the rooms with the suite away earlier in the day since we did not get to the hotel until 9 pm. And I was using rewards points. Not sure why that would make a difference. Then we get up to the room I did not book and we see someone else's feces in the toilet, clearly a room that was not taken care of by housekeeping. Legendary Service it is not. A hotel you should think twice about before booking. read more
