BEWARE THIS LOCATION - and think twice about Marriott. Our experience at this hotel was a total failure of basic hospitality and quality control and Marriott has yet to take any acceptable responsibility We arrived at this hotel around 11 p.m. with an airline voucher after a delayed and then canceled flight. Exhausted, we were given a room that reeked. Though tempted to just put up with it, the smell was unbearable, so we returned to the front desk and requested a new room. The woman at the desk said sorry and got us a key for a second room. Room #2 was actively under construction - ceiling debris covered the sink and bathroom floor. I showed a photo of the mess to the front desk agent, who barely acknowledged it and silently began checking for another room. No further apology, no concern -- just a key to room #3. Room #3? Being used as a storage unit, stacked from floor to ceiling with boxes and supplies. Back at the front desk for the fourth time, we were told there were no other rooms available. The only option they gave us was to return to the airport at 12:30 a.m. and ask the airline to reassign us - even though we had a 6:30 a.m. flight. No empathy. No alternative solutions. This wasn't just a "bad night" - it was a complete disregard of standards in guest care, safety, and professionalism. I followed up with Marriott twice. Their first response offered 3000 points - equivalent to a $27 credit, which felt insulting. I replied, and on May 6, they claimed the matter was being escalated. It is now June 15. Still no response. The pictures speak for themselves. But more importantly, the lack of accountability from Marriott speaks volumes.

The hotel is in a convenient location, friendly staff, recognition of the Marriott Bonvoy membership , the hotel offer complimentary breakfast, and clean spacious room. Thank you for a great stay.

Not the worst, not the best. Staff is not friendly. the woman who checked us in did not explain the hotel features as is standard, bullied us into a king room instead of two queens, and seemed to want to be done with us as quick as possible. Ironically, her name is Karen- avoid her unpleasant self like the plague. Rooms are fairly nice, but they do need some sort of central air installed. The single wall A/C unit fails to cool the room well enough, and there is a strong, noticeable musty smell. Water pressure is TERRIBLE. It gets pretty hot, but comes out like a sink faucet. "Pool" looks more like a hot tub. Maybe it is a hot tub, but would be a bit large for one. Doesn't matter, it was shut down due to several health code violations since May-ish. The note is taped to the door for any one to see. The gym isn't good nor bad. It has the basics but fails to stand out. That's pretty much the vibe of the entire hotel. Do better.

Just a small example of the cigarettes outside (patio is covered in them, also joint and blunt roaches)

The lobby is nice and open, staff is friendly, and they do offer grab and go breakfast in the morning (it came with either a bagel or a muffin, a yogurt, a juice, and a granola bar; cereal and oatmeal were available too). Coffee seemed to be in the lobby area all day which was nice. The Jacuzzi was open and available. But, the location of it creates like a wind vortex and any trash in the area is going to get sucked into that area of the building and end up in the hot tub. So while it did feel hot, there was always trash in it (but they cleaned it out daily). The elevators, floors, and rooms did have a smell of weed to it (this is our 2nd hotel in the area like this...but this particular one wasn't as bad). The gym was available for use, they were running the hotel shuttle, and there is covered parking available. We were told there were ice machines on floors 2-4, but I only saw it on 3 and 4...and the one on the 4th floor (our floor) didn't work. The staff also said there's a laundry room, but it was out of order too (I never saw it though). The room itself was clean (the shower needed a little bit of work), beds were comfortable, bathroom was large, and the room was quiet (very surprising given the proximity to the airport). There was no microwave in the room which was the biggest surprise. When we asked about this, we were told only one floor of the hotel has microwaves and we could use the one in the lobby. We likely wouldn't stay here again during our contract...not worth the price with so many things not working or available.

We tried to call to get the airport shuttle from airport to hotel. Phone out of service. Call another Fairfield Inn In Miami and they were aware the phone here was out of order. Front desk refused to reimburse us for can. Room is wayyyyyy over air freshened. What are they covering up. This is horrible.

My wife hit the "mute" button. Only in Miami. 5/14/19

Review # 851 I really wanted to give this Fairfield Inn four stars, but let me explain why I gave it three. My wife and I went to Miami to attend a Miami Marlins baseball game. While we were there we also visited some relatives. Please do not get me wrong the service in this hotel was top-notch, the accommodations were good, the breakfast in the morning is always homerun. I have been a Marriott Rewards member for many years. One of the benefits of being a Marriott Rewards member is that you can create a profile. This way you can tell them what you like, what you want more of, where you would like the room to be located, etc. This is where they failed. My profile states that I like a room close to an elevator because my wife has bad knees. You guessed it. My room was the furthest from the elevator. Another item that I have on my profile is that I like extra pillows. Not a big deal, I went down to the front desk I requested for pillows, of which they were only able to give me three. I know, I know first world problem. But when you have a Gold Member staying at your hotel, wouldn't you want to check back guest profile. I deducted two stars for each of these items that were overlooked. When I return to Miami, I will probably stay at this hotel. I will make sure they check my profile upon making my reservation.

It has excellent elevated views of the Miami skyline to the east and the Miami River, boats, and the W Flagler St Drawbridge (historical landmark, built in 1938) to the west. I believe the penthouse is located on the 10th floor of a relatively new building. 2. The venue is modern and versatile. The inside spaces (including restrooms) had a clean, updated look. For this event, there were multiple bars and food stations set up both indoors and outdoors. The dance floor was outside. The combination of string lights, rooftop patio decor, and the city skyline was beautiful. There was only one elevator to get everyone up and down, so there was a bottleneck there. They brought in a fire dancer to perform outside on the rooftop, which was really cool.

There's limited street parking, but there's an adjacent parking lot. I'd recommend using a valet service if you are hosting an event here. I absolutely loved the views here, which is why this place gets 5 stars!

They did a fantastic job…read moreof re modelling the whole area - with pretty trees and a lovely pattern to the tile work on the floors (it is 600 foot long). Pretty restaurant shopfronts with plenty of outside seating, making it a super cool area. As we all know the main area for shopping and restaurants is at Miracle Mile, but this is predominantly THE place you come for a tux, wedding dress or bridesmaid dress, and with Coral Gables prices to match. So Giralda Plaza is a nice alternative, with a different vibe. It is also near some pretty nice architectural buildings - see my other Coral Gables reviews, such as the tiny Pittman park for example. Giralda Plaza is walkable friendly ie no cars are allowed to travel down it and it is a great place to chill out for a coffee, people watching or meal. There is plenty restaurants and cafes here to choose from, such as - Talavera Cocina Mexicana, Clutch Burger, Coyo Taco, Espresso Cubano, Kae Sushi, Bangkok Bangkok 2, The lokal, Divino Ceviche, Miss Saigon Bistro, La Sandwicherie, Threefold Cafe, (apologise's if I missed any out) It is also a instagram worthy spot, as they regularly have features here. They had the Umbrella sky - see my pictures of that. Recently they had a gorgeous display for fall ? autumn- see my pictures for that! Such a clever marketing ploy, and it works as people definitely come for that, and then are tempted to spend money in the restaurants.

But thankfully their main area was tasteful and had a perfect atmosphere for New Years Eve. We ordered the following apps: 1. Arroz negro (black squid ink rice with cuddlefish): absolutely delicious 10/10 2. Carbonara croquettes: this is the Second time we ordered this and just as good 10/10 3. Crispy fried artichokes: absolutely lovely, light and airy 10/10 For mains: 1. Oxtail paella: delicious, and unique. Great for those who don't like seafood. Huge shareable size. 10/10 2. Duck breast: small portion but tasty. 8/10 3. Snapper with fennel: delicious especially the fennel side. Dessert: 1. Chocolate mousse: not bad, but not life changing. 7/10 2. Labneh with saffron syrup and crunchy honey: out of this world. What a unique and unexpected delight. It was a special of the day but we hope they bring this back, it's too good and nothing like it anywhere else! 20/10 Beverages: 1. Holiday shot in souvenir glass: tbh I only got this for the glass but the shot was okay: espresso, mint liqueur and orange liqueur. It was heavy on the mint which I wasn't a huge fan of. 8/10 3. Macchiato 10/10-really love the china cups they are served on--it elevates the experience.
