    Mini fridge needs cleaned
    Rob P.

Stayed here for a 3 night stay, staff is really friendly. Check in was easy and fast. The room was clean with the exception of the mini fridge, it is in need of a serious defrosting and cleaning . It has the standard breakfast as most other hotels. There is a variety of places to dine within walking distance or short drives for local establishments. Easy drive to and from Louisville, Fort Knox and other points of interest.

Serviceable roadside Fairfield, it fit my needs (government rate) for a couple of days. No refrigerator and microwave oven. I asked and they were able to provide a mini-refrigerator. For the weekend, the fresh fruit on the breakfast line seem to run out a little quickly. The rooms were on the small side and layout according to an old (and smaller) Fairfield schematic. A bit short on outlets to power my electronics. I'm glad I brought two power strips. Repeat and recommend with caveats.

This cracks me up... but, hey, it's free!

Let me start with the good, because if your like me, you read the first few sentences and then move on to the next review... They DO NOT have low flow shower heads and it's a decent place to sleep. Now, if you are bougie, this is not the place for you. Keep driving! It's the type of hotel that if you look for something to complain about - you will find it. The room had an odd smell when you walked in, it's older and could be cleaner. The hotel dates itself (quickly). You say "hey, this is nice enough!" and then the 1970's decor slaps you right in the face! Think about the 5 biggest and boldest colors in your mind... got them? Okay, now imagine those colors whirled and swirled together and thrown up on a sofa cushion. Yep - it's that bad. Time for an update, Marriott! The room itself was fine, again, don't look for things or you will find them. I did check for bed bugs, negative. There was crust on my alarm clock - I'm in no danger of getting pregnant, so we are okay again. There was that red mildew mold mess on the tub, but the steam from the hot shower just made it practically invisible. The staff was really nice, and hey, that's half the battle. All in, it's a total 3 stars. Sadly, I have stayed in worse. If I was traveling through here again, I wouldn't think twice about staying again. If you are drunk, do not look at the decor, as it could upset your stomach. I'm a brand snob and really love Marriott. I hate that I used my free anniversary hotel night here, but that shouldn't be a reflection of the hotel. Safe travels, friend!

Nice hotel, clean and standard amenities. Personally I prefer the Hampton Inn as far as this level of hotel is concerned.

There are a few Holiday Inn locations in this Kentucky where I have found this happens. When you arrive and check in, this location will take a credit card for incidentals. Again, this happens at a few of the Holiday Inns I have stayed at in Kentucky. What I have liked so far about this location is that they have a breakfast menu in the elevator and they state that they give you two complimentary waters in the fridge. Since I am kind of wary about having a credit card on file, I am probably not going to take them. I feel like items in fridges are being weight monitored. The king standard room is nice. Tons of space towards the center of the room. 3/24/2026 Shower: The showerhead in the bathroom is amazing with a mist type setting. I am going to miss that. Breakfast: Pretty much top!!! They basically max out everything possible that one would want a hotel to throw at them. I am writing about, two types of omelets (white and folded egg, egg beater eggs), bacon AND sausage (not just one or the other, and not just the sausage patty, the actual good tasting sausage links), french toast, and delicious seasoned potatoes. Their wide array of teas is amazing, both caffeinated and decaffeinated options in the breakfast area. Do not be down if you only find two options of black tea in the rooms because of this. I grabbed like two of each in the breakfast area for whenever I want to drink them because I am almost always traveling. In the fridge, they not only have yogurts, but yogurt parfaits (although, they have no expiration stickers on them. I would like to see how they monitor these parfaits from going bad). I had taken one and it was so refreshing. I think this Holiday Inn location is killing it in terms of what an individual would want. I have not seen too many Holiday Inns with this elaborate of a breakfast setup. This experience would be best compared to a Hilton and more than likely, one would have to be some kind of high ranking rewards member to even try to access the breakfast there.

They do offer a hot breakfast, but it is not included in your stay you have to pay separate for it. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and courteous, but due to staffing shortages, when you request coffee or towels, they have to do deliver for you, which can take some time when their main priority is managing the front-end. Rooms are accomodating, A/C worked well, plenty of room to move around and my room had a mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom had a nice walk-in shower, but the location of the toilet was a bit close to the wall and when the put the toilet paper holder next to it, your literally sitting against it. Not a good design whomever did that. The location of the hotel is in an industrial park area, but there are multiple hotels, restaurants and places to get toiletries if you forgot any. It's a 30 minute drive to Bardstown, where they host the Kentucky Bourbon Festival each year and 45-60 minute from to Louisville. I feel it's conveniently located if you are looking to save some money from staying in Bardstown.

The pool within the greenhouse, surrounded by REAL plants and cute cabanas made her day perfect! My Nana purchased a room to allow us access to the pool and said the breakfast was simple but delicious! The reason I give this hotel 4 stars: You can tell some of the "out-dated" details have just been painted over, the pool area had ants/was a little messy, and our room could use some small repairs. AND (here's the biggest issue) My Nana went in and asked about having a birthday party. The front desk attendant was very kind and said that they could absolutely do it. My Nana then purchased the room. Later on, a week or so later, my Nana returned to make sure everything was still all good. The front desk attendant this time was extremely rude. She told my Nana that they "don't do birthday parties". My Nana informed her that she was told they did and that's why she purchased a room. The attendant retorted with "well it's only 4 adults to a room so that's all that can come". Luckily, another guest chimed in and told the attendant that there were 3 birthday parties the prior weekend! My Nana also informed the attendant that it would only be my sister (9), a baby, and a handful of adults and there would not be an issue. The attendant reluctantly consulted the manager who, per the attendant, said "well can do it this time, but no more." When we went in for her party, we were met with a kind desk attendant and staff. Maybe this was just a fluke, but it was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. TLDR; Greenfield Inn and Suites made for a fun 9th birthday party and yummy breakfast despite the inconsistent information/hospitality from staff.

The rooms are a little outdated, but they were very clean and felt fresh, which is what matters most after a long day of traveling. The staff Jennifer and Carline were friendly and welcoming during check-in/check-out, making the process quick and easy. Their pool area is cute and good for families and kids. Another big plus was the excellent price for the stay--it was very reasonable for the quality and comfort we received. The location is also very convenient, with lots of restaurants and other hotels nearby, which made it easy to grab food and relax for the night. We decided to stay here because of the great reviews, and I'm happy to say they were absolutely right. I'm definitely not disappointed with our choice! Looking forward to making this a stop every roadtrip!

We booked a "suite" and maybe I misunderstood the pictures, but I thought the beds would be separate from the pullout couch. They were not. They weren't in a separate room, half wall, or even curtain. Everything was right next to each other. If you have any light sleepers, this isn't a great setup. Also, despite having a microwave and fridge and being a "suite", there were no dishes available. Other than a microwave and bar sink, I'm not sure how this could be considered a suite rather than a normal hotel room with a pull out couch. Also, you can't see the TV from the couch, so if the family wants to watch a movie to settle down for the night, expect to pile into the beds together - whether you want to or not. The pool was clean, but the deck edges are short. It's hard to find a spot outside the pool where you won't get splashed. And you're not supposed to take the towels out of the pool area - which leaves you no towel to cover yourself on the cold walk back to the room. The fitness center was decent. There were free weights and cardio equipment. There were also sanitizing wipes. The treadmill and elliptical had TV channels, but there weren't instructions to connect to the sound or turn on closed captioning. One bright spot was breakfast. There was tons of food that was much higher quality and taste than I was expecting. Including taxes and fees, we paid $200 for one night, which I think is grossly overpriced.
