Great neighborhood /locals spot for a drink or 3 (careful -- they're strong and and cheap. Great pool tables too and friendly clientele. Will stop in again.

Best local dive bar in the French quarter. Bartenders and locals are nice, very competitive pool playing and a few TVs to watch sports. Prices are cheap and strong and the mind eraser is dangerous. great place to hang but don't go in and be a drunk jerk and ruin the chill vibe.

    Some booze remnants.

This is a little pub selling a good selection of beers. I don't think there is food so eat before you arrive. Make sure you have your drinking goggles on. If you're in the mood for a game of stick (pool) then you'll enjoy a fairly fast table with some of the rubbishy of sticks on the market. You just have to be better than the table!

If you want a good old dive bar head over to Fahy's Irish Pub on Bourbon for some good drinks, pool, and locals and say hi to the owner, my new friend, Jack! This place is a great hidden Gem!

Came in to play pool with my family on our vacation. I loved how the bartender played music that we liked. Beers were $4 which was a definite plus. The restroom was very small.

St. Patrick's Day at Fahy's Irish Pub seemed to be more than fate. It was fun. On an annual date destined for day drinking, we celebrated finding Fahy's with a few local draft beers and a couple shots of Jameson ,,, which are just $5 every day, all day, 365 days a year at Fahy's. Top o' the afternoon to ya! The fun was enhanced by drinking the legendary Irish whiskey from shot glasses attached to bright green strands of beads around our necks AND cool shamrock shades over our baby-green eyes. If this wasn't a New Orleans tradition for St. Patrick's Day, it is now. Reminds me of that old Irish saying: "May you have all the whiskey and luck that a cup can hold and at the end of your rainbows may you find a pot of beads." Fay's Irish Pub is a cozy neighborhood dive bar. It's not a place to order cocktails. You order drinks ... and then casually drink them while eagerly joining in (or quietly ignoring) conversations of nearby drinkers around the bar. Plus, everyone's Irish at Fahy's cause every day here is St. Patrick's Day. Locals welcome. Tourists allowed.

Cool bar. The bartender/owner is really nice and friendly me and my husband had fun talking to him.

Day drinking in the quarter, it one wants to drink with some locals in the area this is the spot. There is no rhythm or reason for what one will see in this establishment, and that's Nola in a nutshell. Enjoy!

    Whiskey it is!

Great atmosphere. Service was great. We didn't try any food, but cheezits were provided, which is wild coming for a local bar.

Yet, it seems quite popular with locals and was fairly full for a Tuesday Trivia Night. I ordered a Pimm's cup since Pimm's was on the shelf - the bartender looked confused and told me they don't have any of the ingredients to make one. I changed my order to a flavored vodka - they don't stock any. I ended up ordering a Vodka & 7, but received a Vodka Soda. Were the drinks cheap? Not so much. Was the service friendly? Not so much. I ordered food hoping this was the redeeming feature of the bar. I ordered a steak sandwich at $18 - the service time was quick but the sandwich didn't have much flavor - it was a dry, difficult to bite through thin steak with not much flavor to speak of. The tater tots were crispy and hot and I loved the Brussel Sprouts; they were doused excessively in the dressing but I liked it. There is a nice patio out back - they had fans in this area which is always appreciated. This bar just didn't have the stock and amenities that many other bars in the area do have . Walk to magazine street for better options.
