    So my sister moves to Brussels and I get to spend 6 months of her first year there helping her…read moreadjust to life. And a big part of that was nesting and getting her home situated. It's a little frustrating that a few of the things that we selected weren't in stock and wouldn't be in stock for quite some time. As multicultural as Brussels is, it's really hard to get a staff member that speaks anything but French....soooooo good luck! We ended up (after several visits) getting her some mirrors, a shoe rack, her little kitchen table and chairs, a rug, and a side table for the guest room. So, after a bit of coming back and checking on stock....we got what we were looking for....but it's dreadful when more often than not, what you're looking for won't be in stock.

Stocks are regularly down and for me, the wort part, the staff hardly speaks anything else other than French... One can argue they know one of the local languages, still a major shortcoming in such an international city (perhaps IKEA can train their staff in English) And be aware, if you're asking for a delivery, you might have to "rent the street" in your comine, and you need to do it at least 5 working days in advance (and pay that as well, around 90€ in my case), so consider other was pf transportation. (No, this was not required in Portugal ;-) )
