They Lie to you wasted $339.00 for a very little area tatoo on my eyebrows. Shane said it would be gone in two sessions well had my 3rd one done in September. Still there and using makeup everyday to hide it. As well for a 5 minute session $113.00. Should have not listened to with the BS and stayed with Removery Tattoo on Yonge Street. One lesson learned, but I believe the guy Kerry that deals with the sales will remove this review. I tried to update my reviews on their website. I came to see Shane about three years ago with a failed tattoo removal on my left forearm that had blistered and scarred with significant skin damage. I had previously went to a local micro blading studio that offered tattoo removal as a service. I received five treatments that were spaced about a month apart and each session left me with more trauma to my skin and my tattoo barely faded. As I am having a medium sized (approx. 7" x 4" on 40 y.o. brown skin) tattoo re-worked/cover-up, my tattoo artist suggested I get the original faded....a lot. This is where Shane came in. Shane was recommended to me by tattoo artists, which speaks volumes. My first consultation with him was quite informative--he gives it to you straight and takes his craft quite seriously, as one would expect. All-in-all, that first consultation cleared up any questions, confusion or concerns I may have had at the time. Once all that stuff was out of the way...a couple of weeks later, I had my first session. At Fading Fast, the atmosphere is nice, clean, private and professional. Regarding the procedure itself--everybody has their own pain tolerance. For me, the laser procedures were not comfortable but they weren't painful either...somewhere in between, nevertheless, Shane makes good conversation, so the sessions go by pretty quick. Shane is very meticulous; paying attention to all the little details existing within the tattoo. The aftercare instructions were concise and simple. Coming to the end of our sessions (around 10 sessions or so) with this piece, I couldn't be more content. No damage was done to my skin and has healed quite nicely and is in impeccable condition and ready to be tattooed again. I went through two "doctors" and laser clinics before I found Shane and Fading Fast, and after talking to him about my tattoos and treatments I was furious at how I had been deceived by other professionals, and how deception seems to be the standard in the removal industry. Shane is the most knowledgable person I have ever spoken with on the subject and he takes a great deal of pride in his business and in quality. Shane is a really cool guy that makes you feel comfortable throughout your treatment session. When I am in for an appointment, he shoots the shit the way a tattoo artist would when you're in for a full day of tattooing (maybe because he used to be one?). I love that! He is also totally honest and does not make promises about every colour under the moon coming out in six sessions or fewer. If anyone tells you that, it's complete BS- run! Since starting with Shane my tattoos have faded dramatically and I feel confident I will not have scarring afterwards. Many places give you pain pills or numbing cream, but be wary of this. The pain is tolerable and if it isn't, they are probably doing damage to your skin. Plus he uses the cooling machine, which is really all you need to help with pain and healing! Last, his prices are great. I was paying more money at other clinics while getting subpar quality and seeing virtually no results. I have since moved from Toronto to NYC and I will not go anywhere else for my tattoo removal. I will make a point to see Shane every time I am home for a visit rather than starting new with some plastic surgeon's assistant looking to make a quick buck. I don't even care if that means my overall treatment will take a bit longer- that's how much I believe in Shane's service! read more

I've been going to Shane for close to a year now and I'm incredibly happy with my experience. Here are a few reasons: 1. Knowledge- Shane is obviously very skilled in this field. In my early discussions with him about having this done, he was able to thoroughly explain the process. He was clear that the actual appointments would be no walk in the park and that they also required commitment over a period of time. Most people seem to think it's a one time visit (as I naively did before doing some research). 2. Shane was formerly a tattoo artist and has had tattoos removed himself. It's nice when someone actually knows how 'unpleasant' it is to have them removed. Not to mention the fact that he wasn't giving a pedicure just prior to doing the tattoo removal... spa's have no business doing tattoo removal! 3. His place is sanitary. I don't need to elaborate on that. 4. He's good at distracting... I said it earlier, getting laser tattoo removal is no walk in the park, but it definitely feels less painful when you're not sitting in silence and fixating on the pain. Shane will 'shoot the sh*t' with you keep your mind off of it. It really makes a world of difference. So yeah...I'm pretty satisfied with my experience and am giving a glowing review! read more

I am extremely pleased with my tattoo removal at Fading Fast. I had such a positive experience and I am very happy with the outcome. Shane really took care of my skin which was a huge concern for me because I have a dark complexion and was worried about potential scarring and pigmentation issues. Everything went smoothly thanks to him! Shane was amazing! He really knows his stuff and he will tell you very truthfully about what to expect in terms of the procedure, healing, fading time and costs. He is a real professional that cares about his work.
