Just moved into the area and needed a spot to cut my hair. They have the system dialed in. We are past the era of let me just walk in and get a cut. Make an appointment, keep your time and get your cut. Appointments are made via the app and they confirm via email. They still do walk ins but honestly if you have to wait because you came in with no appointment.. well that's the risk. I didn't know any particular barber so I just picked one from the list. On Saturday I used the app to book a Sunday appointment for my boys at 3:00 with Casey. When you use the app, you have to pay in advance to hold your appointment. With the option to cancel the appointment 2 hours before with no charges. I arrived at the shop 20 minutes prior to the appointment to find out Casey was running behind serval heads. Casey never picked up the phone to notify me about the delay or offer a no charge cancelation, reschedule. Very poor customer service and now I have to wait serval days to see a refund of $69. I left this barber shop serval years ago because of this same reason poor customer service. I thought I could return and give it a second chance. I went to the website to find the owners email address or number so I could email him direct but wasn't able to find it. My rating is purely based on the haircut I received. The location and business was fine and everybody seemed nice. But the cut I got was sloppy. My barber offered advice on my fade but the end product was amateur. One side was ok the other was an after thought. The top of my head was not cleaned up after he cut it. Lucky for me tho becuz I read the reviews and he seems to be the barber with all the complaints. My boys age 9 and 5 and were cut by Kerry and Jamar. Both did a great job and were quick. I'm new in town. Grew up in NYC but lived in Miami for a while. I've always been super picky about my hair and who cuts it. Just moved here and needed a cut desperately for my birthday celebration. I needed to look good. I always get a simple 3 on top and high or low skin fade on bottom. My main gripe is my hairline. I have a cowlick on the right side of my hairline and my left side is a little lower than my right side and I also have a widows peak. All I wanted was a straight egde hairline and I got exactly that and even more with my main man Rodney Tobler but he likes to be called tobe. He was great. Real respectable man and a man of culture. The barbershop had that friendly vibe with talks of sports and people just having good conversations. They even had a chess board to play chess while you wait. Rodney was great and is beyond experienced and could've passed for the store owner. I'm a lifetime customer now and can't wait till my next cut. THANKS TOBE !! For the past few years, I've taken my 15-year old son to the Fadeologist barbershop and have gotten great haircuts from Jamar Rucker. Yesterday was the most unprofessional and humiliating experience for my son. This time, Marcus Mason was the barber who cut my son's hair. It had been a while since his last cut so he washed and detangled his hair prior to his visit. Marcus publicly ridiculed him, claiming that it wasn't his job to pick out his hair, handing him the comb to pick out his own hair, and then giving him the most horrible lopsided haircut. The other barbers and customers were laughing at him. My son was pissed, paid for his $14 haircut and still gave him a $6 tip. My son didn't want me to tell this story, but business is business. Yesterday, Marcus Mason was a poor example for Fadeologist business. His bio reads that he is respectful of his clients and a father. This is the first barber shop I tried when I moved here. I did a local search and found this spot. I called to see if I needed to make an appointment for my son. The caller said "mom come on in, we will take care of him" when I arrived I was greeted by every barber present. One said "you must be mom" lol I agreed. The barber who called me up after about 5mins. He cut my son hair into a Mohawk. It looked great. I have been going here every since. I've been about 5 or 6 times. They offer a loyalty card. After your 5 visit you earn a free hair cut. They handle all types of services. Dying, eyebrows etc. located in a semi busy shopping center on the second floor with an elevator. These guys messed me up bro. Even though I repeatedly told him how I wanted it and even showed him a picture, he made it seem like he knew what he was doing. I asked him to keep the cut "disconnected", which is a pretty common term among barbers, but he did not understand and made no effort to understand what I wanted instead saying "I'll just go ahead and do it." He blended all the hair together into one big egg shape, making it a whole lot shorter than I asked. Wish he'd just given me what I asked for and what the picture showed. read more

The Fadeologist crew are pretty professional, and have a nicely designed shop, which is something to be admired, for most barber shops lack a clean, well-thought layout. They have their very own app and customers are encouraged to schedule ahead of time, which I would highly recommend, since my first experience could be considered less than desirable. On a Saturday afternoon I walked in and the place was PACKED. I waited for an hour only to be told it would be at least another before I'm taken care of, for then I was made aware of their scheduling system. I left pretty frustrated, but came back the next day, this time having scheduled an appointment. Still, I waited half an hour, then given a poor excuse as to why. I proposed that I should have a discount due to the amount of time I patiently waited over the course of 2 days... Reluctantly, 3 dollars was taken off my tab, woo-hoo! The haircut was decent but expecting me to pay 20 dollars for a haircut that was decent and took up all of my day was not my plan.
